**If you have a question for Miss Begotten tomorrow, be sure and get it in by tonight.

We have Words Gone Wild out the wazoo today. There is no rest for TWISTED LINGUISTICS.

This first bunch comes directly from that unholy "editor" I've been raising hell about:

I will delete you ever time - I think this means, "I will ban you if the right time ever comes."

substantited - Ensuring that you have tight substantiation for what you say.

afraid to sigh her/their name - Someone waffling about group sex.

discusting - Playfully throwing a discus.

aopted - He opted for "A."

gurnee - The one who is gurned. Now we must discover what gurning is.

misservice - An unmarried female in the servicing business.

infallable - Unable to fall.

And then we have:

where he is gong with it - His head. They hit him in his head with the gong.

nototious - Without totious. Now we have to figure out what totious is.

nuckleheads - I think this is actually a garbled reference to nuclear warheads from a George Bush speech.

Well, this is certainly strange.

LOL, Charles. I thought that was a pretty weird name, too.

Good title. I hope you get your #4 wish. What kind of snake did you have? Not ... a boa constricter. I know a girl who used to have a couple of iguanas.

I like your Native name better than mine, Roxan. I hope you get your #4 wish, too. That would be wonderful. Your title has a great ring to it and suits you to a "T.":)

Mona, you got another cool Native name. I really like saying that. Not so much what it means. LOL. I'm glad you like the outfit. Thanks.:)

Kan, honey, I think I'd go with your alternate title. I don't think that first one would fit on the book's spine. Or spline, as they call it over at PublishAmerica. LOL. You had a snake, too? What kind? I'd love to have a parrot. I guess he'd be kind of hard to keep with your cats.

Boy, you guys are some fast drivers. I've never gone more than 100 myself -- just because my little "caution" voice interrupted my need for speed.:-)

Charles said...

I had a hognose, but my grandmother made me get rid of him, she claimed that he was a "puff adder." He did a decent job of playing dead, would roll on his back and hold still, stiff really.

Serena said...

Yikes, Charles. Aren't adders like --- poisonous?

Charles said...

A page about the Eastern Hognose snake. If I remember correctly and this page neglects to state, they have a gland that they can distend that smells a bit like a dead animal, and one of the pictures actually shows it, to aid in the playing dead.

Charles said...

Actually this is more likely what it was. Darn, the internet would have been so cool when I was a kid.

Charles said...

When you look at the the second picture on the ufl site, doesn't that one just look downright cute? heheh

Serena said...

Okay, so it's not poisonous. But it's still -- a SNAKE. Ugh. Snakes give me the heebie-jeebies. I like my pets cute, furry, and cuddly.:)

1) Holding My Own

2) No way. Not after the unfortunate LSD-induced incident last year. It's so damned easy to mistake other forms of God's creatures for turkeys. Geez. It's not like they can't make more babies.

3) No, because my "shopping" is highly-dependent on the neighbors completing theirs first.

4) Yes: a blow-up doll that initially plays hard-to-get, but then softens up to my repeated advances.

5) Why should I, when I frequent those stores off the beaten path where I can rent them by the hour along with a private booth?

6) No, but I DO like to drink with women that ride in on brooms.

7) I suppose, in a manner of speaking, I DO own them. At least until I get sloppy and the Police close in.

8) I can't type at all, but if you hire me, I will let you have your way with me on occasion.

9) I don't recall, as every time I go over 70, I panic and cover my eyes.

#8 is good enough, Puggy. You're hired. I'll speak to Santa about getting you that #4. #6 -- I didn't realize you'd ridden with me before; must have been in the throes of #2. My commiserations on #1.:-)

5. Have you ever owned a (a) ferret (b) monkey (c) snake or (d) parrot? I had a rat once.

6. Do you like the kind of drinks that come with those little umbrellas in them? Those usually contain rum, I think, so my answer is no.

1. If you wrote your autobiography, what would you title it?

Carried To You

2. Are you cooking Thanksgiving dinner this year?

I am Thanksgiving dinner this year, baby.

3. Have you started your Christmas shopping?

As I am as selfless and gorgeous as Angelina Jolie, yes, because I am always thinking of other people. My want is to bring perfect surprises into the lives of others, and this takes vigilance. no off days!!

4. Is there one special item that you'd really like to receive as a Christmas gift?

Yes.

5. Have you ever owned a (a) ferret (b) monkey (c) snake or (d) parrot?

Are you actually asking if I have any piercings? It sounds like maybe you are, and that maybe you want to know where these piercings are. No matter, I have not owned any of the above, but I have owned a clown. It's a complicated and thrilling story that will soon be made into a film.

6. Do you like the kind of drinks that come with those little umbrellas in them?

Only a crazy person would have a hate on for a drink that had the potential to protect them from a rain storm. Of course I like those drinks, I love those drinks!

7. Do you own your pet(s), or do the pets own you?

Ownership? Serena Joy, sister girlfriend, are you an American?!

8. How fast do you type?

I type loud and hard. It's thunder and lightning, the dog hides beneath the dining room table when it begins.

9. What's the fastest speed at which you've ever driven?

55 mph. Any higher would be unsafe.

I wandered over from ThatGreenyFlower's place, and can't resist these question things.

1. If you wrote your autobiography, what would you title it?
Lost in a sea of stupid.

2. Are you cooking Thanksgiving dinner this year?
We don't have Thanksgiving in the UK, but I'll be cooking something...

3. Have you started your Christmas shopping?
Nearly completed, boxed, and ready to go. I never set foot in any town centre after November 30th.

4. Is there one special item that you'd really like to receive as a Christmas gift?
A politician pulveriser. With a composting attachment.

5. Have you ever owned a (a) ferret (b) monkey (c) snake or (d) parrot?
No. Does a bearded dragon count?

6. Do you like the kind of drinks that come with those little umbrellas in them?
Only if it's raining.

7. Do you own your pet(s), or do the pets own you?
'Own' isn't the word, I think. We have An Understanding. I feed him, he doesn't bite me.

8. How fast do you type?
As fast as this! Do you want to see it again?

9. What's the fastest speed at which you've ever driven?
Less than 100MPH. I've drifted over 90 on motorways sometimes, but I don't like to hurry.

Oh, and gurning is a common word in the UK. We even have competitions, which I'm happy to say I've never entered. It's this:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/in_pictures/3670504.stm

Who'd want to be declared winner of that?

Serena said...

Corn Dog, I love your title! You must write that book, girl. Don't feel bad; I can't cook worth a hoot, either. I think it's vaguely pathetic that at my age, I'm still going home to Mama for Thanksgiving. But ... I don't have to cook.:) I remember Vegas. I am flabbergasted that they would even GO 100 MPH.:-)

Hello, Anonymous, and thanks for answering my impertinent questions. I sincerely hope you don't become anyone's Thanksgiving dinner. Do they do that where you live? Yikes! Run fast, live longer. What a beautiful sentiment your #3 is. You've owned a clown? Details! Sister-girl is indeed an American, who is laughing at loud at your #8. That Native name that you ended up with is starting to scare me.:)

Hello, Romulus Crowe. I've seen you over at Greeny's and am pleased to welcome you here. You'd better copyright your book title before I steal it. I love that! I am in awe of your answer to #3. I wish I could say the same for myself, but I'm being a real slacker about it this year. If you get your #4 request, I hope you'll be agreeable to lending it out occasionally. LOL. I've heard of bearded dragons. As I recall, they're actually kind of cute. Interesting info on the "gurn" situation. I'd never heard of it before. Of course, the person who used "gurnee" still isn't off the hook, because sick people aren't being loaded onto "gurnees." LOL.

3. No; I actually wait for Thanksgiving before starting the next holiday.
4. Not really. There's nothing I really need.
5. I earned a merit, I've been funky
6. The more fru fru the drink, the better! I once had a fruity rum drink in Mexico that was made in a pinneapple with a face made out of fruit and had a bouquet of flowers coming out of it. Awesome.
7. I prefer to rent...
8. About 70-80wpm
9. 156mph on the autobahn in Astria.

VE, your book title is absolutely apropos. You couldn't title it anything else. I had forgotten you're going to be in Joshua Tree next week. Have fun! And who knows, maybe you'll stumble across a wild turkey. That Mexican fruity rum drink sounds like great fun to drink.:) I think that I would love the Autobahn.

Good heavens, Kan, I guess you did clear the halls. So, did she graduate?:-)
