Kan, geez. #1. Eee-yewwww! Judging by your #3, I'm guessing you're not a coffee drinker. You don't know what you're missing!:)

I've never been brave enough to try octopus, Tre'e. You and I are about on the same page with #2. LOL. Sapphires are beautiful -- good choice.:)

I WAS FOUR! I don't eat them regularly and am not a snot gourmet or anything. You did ask "ever eaten" after all. We all did it. How many of us are honest about it, or are there really things to eat more gross? =P

8. What is your birthstone? They tried, but none of those stones connected when I was born.

9. Are you participating in this year's NaNoWriMo? In what?

Serena said...

Okay, Kan. We'll let it slide this time. LOL.

Charles! You don't like seafood? Oh, man, I love it. Re #5, I don't know but I think it takes both to figure out something. Rubies and sapphires. Yes. Sparkly. Pretty.

NaNoWriMo = National Novel Writing Month. The goal is to produce a 50,000-word novel between Oct. 1st and Nov. 30th.

Serena said...

Oh, dear, TC -- the dreaded mystery meat. You're probably better off not knowing. Light blue gem -- aquamarine, perhaps? And your birthstone would appear to be ruby. My lottery check got lost, too. What IS it with the Postal Service?:-)

Miss has received your question and will plumb the shallows of her brain for an answer.:)

I agree, Galen -- liver's pretty raunchy. Yuck! I'm intrigued by #4. Hmmmm. I think common is usually best when it comes to #5. My #7, BTW, is emerald. I have a pretty amythest ring, though. Thank YOU. x5.

1. What's the most exotic (or grossest) thing you've ever eaten? A stew made out of intertidal invertebrates, including jellyfish and sea cucumbers and limpets and weird stuff like that. Sorry, Kan, but boogers pale in comparison to jellyfish, IMHO.

2. How often do you wash your car? Why...are you suggesting that it needs it?!?

3. If you drink coffee, do you prefer it black, cream only, sugar only, cream and sugar, or "special" (espresso, latte, cappuccino, etc.)? I drink black coffee every day. On special occasions, or when I need a pick-me-up, I'll drink a mocha.

4. Do you have any mechanical aptitude? No, but I have some mechanical pencils.

5. Do you rely more on your book sense or your common sense? Mostly common sense, but I have to have a lot of book sense in my line of work, too.

6. How long has it been since you last changed jobs? 2 years this month.

7. What's your favorite gemstone? Garnets. I also like diamonds, but garnets are first.

8. What is your birthstone? Blue topaz or turquoise, depending on what you read. Both are ugly, I think.

9. Are you participating in this year's NaNoWriMo? No, but I wish I had the drive and the fortitude. Are you going to? I think you should, SJ!

Serena said...

I didn't even know jellyfish were edible, Greeny. I doubt if I could get one down. I like garnets, and I've seen some very pretty turquoise. I like blue topaz better than turquoise, though. #9 -- No, not I. I, too, lack the drive and fortitude.:)

Charles said...

SJ,
Are you getting the foreign language problem that I am or is something screwed up on my machine?

Charles said...

or is it blogger?

Serena said...

Foreign language? No, I haven't seen anything like that. Are you seeing complete posts in a language other than English, or has your dashboard switched languages, or what?

Charles said...

HAH! Thank you. I hardly ever go to the dashboard, and I didn't even know you could change languages, and I didn't knowingly do so. It was a bit maddening, since I couldn't read much of the menuing. I went in last evening/this morning much later than I should have been awake, and must have inadvertently altered the language.

Serena said...

It's not hard to push the wrong button when it's late and you're tired. I'm glad it turned out to be something easily fixed.

3. If you drink coffee, do you prefer it black, cream only, sugar only, cream and sugar, or "special" (espresso, latte, cappuccino, etc.)?

Vanilla Cappucchino.

4. Do you have any mechanical aptitude?

5. Do you rely more on your book sense or your common sense?

7. What's your favorite gemstone?
Amethyst.

8. What is your birthstone?

Serena said...

Alligator, Snow? That IS exotic. Hey, I think you'd do a great job with a story blog. Send me the URL if you do it.:)

Hale McKay said...

1) exotic - octopus (then it became the grossest when I spit it out)

2) once in the spring; 3-4 times in the summer; once in the fall; 3-4+ in the winter depending on how much snow, slush, road dirt, salt

3) Like my women. Blonde & sweet - but with milk - NO cream
-But for you, would try cranberry juice instead of milk. (Remember, there is something about redheads)

4) Yes. Being a homeowner I learned to be quite handy.

5) Nowadays - common sense (But admittedly fortified with some book sense.)

6) 10 years

7) I'm leaning to Sharon Stone - she's a gem!

8) Amethyst

9) ?? Oh, is that the thing where you write scripts for "Mork & Mindy?" Nanu Nanu.

Serena said...

I don't know about cranberry juice in coffee, Mike. I give you special redheaded dispensation to not do that. Stick with the blonde and sweet! NaNo is different from NaNu, but I'm wondering if there shouldn't be one of those, too. LOL.
