Miss Begotten is one of my pet names for myself, for Southern Gothic reasons best kept to myself. Miss Begotten tries to speak plainly, but sometimes she tends to babble -- parenthetically, of course. It's never my intention to offend (and usually that's true - except on those [maybe not so] rare occasions when I mean it very friggin' much) but it sometimes happens, so if you're unusually easily offended...

Sorry know nothing of your politics that would make any sense, I'm the same with UK politics (but thats the politicians here not me)!!!!!
My only comment about politics just now addresses the protesters in Denver: they're going over like a single cricket at an NFL football game...*crunch*...
1. List five adjectives that describe your feelings about the race for the White House.
Skepticism, boredom, worry, irritable, whatever
2. Construct a metaphor about the current political race.
I just can't go there...nightmares and all...
3. Devise a simile summing up today's political climate.
It's gonna dump on us. The dumping might never end...
4. Write your own ironic twist to a possible outcome of the presidential race.
McCain dies of old age right before the election. Hillary moves over to the republican side and runs against Obama with Arnold as her running mate all the while Obama and Biden are singing “Ebony and Ivory” in a grand showmanship musical play. But secretly everyone in the nation writes in J.D. Salinger on their vote and suddenly the country is looking for the whereabouts of their most celebrated recluse. As he cannot be found in time, Donald Trump takes over the presidency in a leveraged buyout of the U.S. Government.
5. Would you describe yourself as (a) optimistic (b) pessimistic (c) apathetic or (d) catatonic about the candidates?

LOL, Skunk. Poor cricket.:-)
Perfect #3 simile, VE. I love it, albeit it's frighteningly true. And your ironic twist is just superb. It could happen, too. They don't call this America for nothin'.:)

Well, yeah, Galen, I can see where a healthy dose of nilhism might come into play. It remains to be seen whether said nilhism will induce apathy or catatonia.:)
