Afterword

I am pleased as punch that I now have my evil hoodoo computing machines back up and running. I don't know what happened, but I know that between continuously running virus scans, sanitized ISP software, and changed passwords, the crisis is over. Hallelujah. Oh, and my muscle injury and cold are better, too. One more day of all that stuff lumped in together and I'd have been ready for the proverbial padded room. Which I still wouldn't turn down today because I hear it's exceedingly restful in there. Anyway...

Sometimes I'll hear a song and, without catching the title or the name of the artist, be completely captivated by it. I heard such a song last night. It took a little Googling to determine who and what it was. This is it. Let me know if it affects you the same way it did me.

Have a lovely Saturday, kids.

Thank you, /t. [Is that you, Horshack?:-)] The band's not really my style, either, but there's something about that song (probably the melody) that I like a lot.

If by "Let me know if it affects you the same way it did me," you mean does the leader singer kind of creep me out with his mannerisms, then, yes.

The song itself has enough energy I suppose, and makes me think that its probably going to be better to listen to on the radio than watch being performed.

Glad to hear things are better. I was going to say not to chuck that computer, and maybe send it to G instead, it probably has sound, but since you got it up and on its feet, so to speak, nevermind.

There's always the option of reinstalling everything after running the right disk utilities on it.

So how do you and your computer get into such simpatico that you both get infected at the same time? I sense a real relationship there.

Serena, Its good to know that you are feeling better.

Yes, sometimes the tune is catchy & the melody so good. I was just watching Snoop Dogg's 'sensual seduction. The song is meaningless The video bad but the background music is mind blowing!

BTW, I had to copy the URL to the clipboard and paste it into a new window to watch it, it said "We're sorry, this video is no longer available."

Oh, I agree, Charles -- the singer's mannerisms are creepy. I really love the melody, though.

I've been after G to upgrade. He'll do it sooner or later. Luckily, I didn't have to reinstall anything other than ISP. I'm good to go now. I don't know why it is my computers and I got sick at the same time. Maybe there is some weird bond there.:)

Thanks, Mona. I hope you're feeling better, too. I know what you mean about some components of a song/video not working while others do. I guess that when it all melds together perfectly, that's when we see real magic.:)

Bubba-G, you ain't foolin' nobody -- you ain't that low-tech.:-) One of these days, you're going to have on your very own computer something besides the sounds of silence. Yup. Serena predict. Can't argue with that. I do feel WAY better, thanks. High-five back atcha.:-)

It's weird when there's no post from you...like somebody stopped all the clocks or something. Glad to see you're on the mend all the way around. I know the feeling; ribs, cold, and a reinstall of the kids computer...what a hassle. After a long time, Windows just runs inefficiently though. It was time to re-install.

I know you know about the ribs, VE. Thank goodness I didn't have anything nearly as severe as what you had to contend with. Aw, that's so sweet of you to say you miss me when I'm too lazy or otherwise too preoccupied to post. I haven't visited anybody yet this weekend, either, and I must rectify that post haste.

It's true, Bubba-G! That fine little Snot-Be-Gone song and dance you did for me totally cleared my sinuses. Thank you for my Olfactory Haiku. I shall treasure it -- and get it out next time my nose stops up. I always say you're too good to me, and it's true.:-)

Heh heh.. I totally HATE it when my computers go haywire. My new laptop is pretty good except for the "blue screen of death" on shutdown. Windows Vista... so buggy... yet so expensive!

An Apple a day . . . :-D

Come over to the sexy side of computing my primrosed one with nails neither too long nor too short. I might even throw in a free pillow fluffing if you ask real nice. :-)

Serena said...

Hi, there, Indigo. I've seen the Blue Screen of Death. I just shut down, pretend I didn't see it, and hope I don't see it next time I turn the thing on. That usually works pretty well.:) Vista? Vista SUCKS!

Tre'e, I ate an apple right before I got sick. Coincidence? Hmmmm. The sexy side of computing? Been there, didn't stay long. LOL. I do love me some fluffed pillows, though.:)

Yeah, I may actually COOK something besides coffee, Bubba-G. How 'bout that? Could it be true, or is the girl just ODd on java and outta her head? Stay tuned to see whether the stomach roils. If it does, she'll need plenty of pillows:)

Trée said...

LMAO, by sexy side I meant buying a Macintosh computer. Where is your mind woman? :-D

Serena said...

Oops. My bad. Now I need a fireman or something to haul my mind up out of the gutter.:)

Greeny, that's so cool that you liked it, too. I'm off to have a look at your American Princes.:)

SJ, I just bought the CD/MP3s off Amazon. I've only heard the whole CD one time through but I really like it. I'm getting a whole-new-sound feeling about this band. If these guys are derivative of anything, it's something I've never heard of! It's kind of like Polyphonic Spree meets Arcade Fire at a Jethro Tull World Party Hoedown.

Serena said...

LOVE your colorful description, Greeny. Hope you enjoy your CD/MP3.
