Miss Begotten is one of my pet names for myself, for Southern Gothic reasons best kept to myself. Miss Begotten tries to speak plainly, but sometimes she tends to babble -- parenthetically, of course. It's never my intention to offend (and usually that's true - except on those [maybe not so] rare occasions when I mean it very friggin' much) but it sometimes happens, so if you're unusually easily offended...

SJ's Saturday Jam
'Tis the season, kids -- time to deck rock the halls and get you into the spirit.
Ticket price is very easy today: just fill in the blank with the item of your choice.
On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me _________________.
And then -- and then please write a haiku about the item.
Wow, Greeny, wouldn't that be a fabulous gift to receive? Then maybe on the 2nd day, you'd get some wonderfully scented bath oil, and so on and so on. Love your "potty" haiku.:)
Charles, that's a hard wish to fulfill, but I'll put in a good word with Santa for you. Your melancholy haiku is excellent.:)

gave to me...
a kiss.
Lips love happiness.
Strange truth heard when leaves fell.
The green Monster stomped.
Nice gift requests, Snow & Scary, and very nice haikus. Boy, if somebody gave me a personal chef, I'd sure kiss him.:)

I'll take it, Galen, and raise you one smile. Love the smiley-face haiku. Thanks!

On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me a solar-powered self-cleaning bathroom!
Efficient bathroom,
Fragrant, pristine, fabulous
Fun to pee in here!
a life of waiting to find her.
Waiting to find her,
My life's longing for true love.
Guess self love will do.
