Miss's Mailbag

Dear Miss Begotten,
Can you get too much of a good thing?
~G-Man

Dear G,
Sometimes it depends on how good the thing is but, as a general rule, it ain't bloodly likely. Good is good, am I right? On the other hand, things like good liquor, good chocolate, and good pre-surgery relaxants are best partaken of in moderation because if you get too much, you're probably going to throw up. That repulses good women and good dogs, so you want to avoid that as much as possible. Good everything else, yeah, go for it. Too much won't hurt you (as long as there's no unnatural contortion involved) -- and you won't care if it does. Just be careful what you wish for because eventually you'll get it. Remember, just because it feels good at the time doesn't mean you won't pay for it later.

Dear Miss Begotten,
Are you a natural redhead?
~Brunette

Dear Brownie,
Yes, I am. Why do you ask? You're not one of those midget trolls I went to school with, are you? You know, the ones who'd taunt me with stuff like, "Better dead than red on the head!" Because if you are, I'd like a word with you. And you'd better put on some body padding before we talk. If you're not one of them, heck yeah, we can swap hair hints. My hair won't do "big," not even with a barrel of AquaNet. Will yours? Are you a natural brunette?

Dear Miss Begotten,
Is there really such a place as 1-900-Bite-Me?
~Biting Mad

Dear Bitten,
I think such a place does exist. I believe, however, that it caters to some pretty rough trade and is no place for ladies. Another such place exists in Transylvania, this one catering to quite a different type of clientele. Unless you're a very enthusiastic blood donor and look good in black, I wouldn't make reservations. Bottom line, I'd try to get a handle on my anger if I were you. You definitely don't want to say "Bite me" to the wrong person. They're too likely to take you up on it these days.

If you have a question and have a burning desire to play Stump the Dummy, send it in and it will be answered next week.

TWISTED LINGUISTICS and TGIF!

From that zany "editor" person:

You Are a Red Crayon

Your world is colored with bright, vivid, wild colors.
You have a deep, complex personality - and you are always expressing something about yourself.
Bold and dominant, you are a natural leader. You have an energy that is intense... and sometimes overwhelming.
Your reaction to everything tends to be strong. You are the master of love-hate relationships.

Your color wheel opposite is green. Green people are way too mellow to understand what drives your energy.

***You Are a Blue Crayon***

Your world is colored in calm, understated, deep colors.
You are a loyal person, and the truest friend anyone could hope to find.
On the inside, you tend to be emotional and even a bit moody.
However, you know that people depend on you. So you put on a strong front.

Your color wheel opposite is orange. Orange people may be opinionated, but you feel they lack the depth to truly understand what they're saying.

Your world is colored in harmonious, peaceful, natural colors.
While some may associate green with money, you are one of the least materialistic people around.
Comfort is important to you. You like to feel as relaxed as possible - and you try to make others feel at ease.
You're very happy with who you are, and it certainly shows!

Your color wheel opposite is red. Every time you feel grounded, a red person does their best to shake you.

So Roxan and I did not match and it seems SJ really does enjoy tormenting me. Red head/ red crayon...I am so scared.

Serena Joy said...

Aw, don't be scared, Kan. I won't shake you. Too much.:-)

I like Roxan's blue and Kan's green. I don't know why I scored as red. I like red okay, but it's not a color I include in my surroundings or clothes. Yep, I really, really like Roxan's blue. And Kan, I think the green suits you.:)

You Are a Yellow Crayon
Your world is colored with happy, warm, fun colors.
You have a thoughtful and wise way about you. Some people might even consider you a genius.
Charming and eloquent, you are able to get people to do things your way.
While you seem spontaneous and free wheeling, you are calculating to the extreme.

Your color wheel opposite is purple. You both are charismatic leaders, but purple people act like you have no depth.

Oh, G is going to love reading that line, about your being a master. I can hear him already.

One for Miss Begotten:
How did Mary's garden grow?
sign me, brown thumb

Serena Joy said...

Perhaps you should try it again, /t., because you are one of the least dull people I know.:)

Warm and happy, Charles? And wise? Sounds great to me. LOL at the master line.:-) Thanks for the question. Miss is going to have to give that one some deep pontification.

Kanrei, I think we are more matched on the quiz than you think. You can't have green without blue. See? You need me. LOL

Charles said...

These quizzes have been known to have their problems, maybe it was supposed to be wise-guy, wise-acre, or wise-ass.

Serena Joy said...

So, Roxan & Kan, does this mean my matchmaking efforts have finally paid off? Yippee!:-)

I don't know, Charles -- I think that if there was a wiseass category, I'd have hit on it right off the bat.:)

Geesh,
What's going on the last few days? You'd think everybody was off for the holiday or something. Where's all the comments I'm used to reading?

Serena Joy said...

I think that may be it, Charles -- everybody's off on holiday.

I'm a red crayon too, SJ.

I think it's 1-800-bite-me. THe 900 numbers you have to pay for.

I can't bear to think I'd be anything but a pink crayon.

Oh and 1-800-Bite-Me is actually the IRS hotline number.

Dear Miss Begotten,

Why are fortune cookies SO accurate? For instance, my last one read, "You will find happiness with a new love". Then, upon exiting the restaurant, a hooker approached me. Uncanny!

Serena Joy said...

LOL, CD. Although ... there are those who would get out their credit cards and dial a 900-bites number.:-)

Pinks, I just know you would have come out pink. It could not be otherwise.:)

Well, there you go, Puggy. Your meal had a happy ending as predicted by the cookie. It was a good deal.:-)

So blue about MU.

Seriously, I'm sending you tea and sympathy. That loss just sucked.

Miss will attempt to answer your question about Summertime Blues next week.:)
