Friday Catch-All

Have y'all heard Brandi Carlile sing? I think this girl has one of the best voices I've heard in a long time. The "Grey's" backdrop is especially for the Reverend Sumangali Tania Pink. Enjoy!

Unless I can find a witch doctor in the Yellow Pages pretty quick, I'm going to be forced into an unholy tryst with the Birthday Troll soon. SOB won't be gentle with me, either. My sister sent me an early present of some books and girly stuff and ... this.

It's a sort of plaque (replete with glitter & sparkle -- does Sis know my tastes or what?) that sits on a table (like a picture frame) and there's a wind-up music box on the back. Wind it up and it plays 'In the Good Ol' Summertime.' I love it!

I have to make a Home Depot run today. I know what I need, but I also know I'll probably end up bringing home more than I went for. I love that place! I'm going with my hair braided and no makeup. They'll probably run me out of there before I even get to see everything.

I have to clean up my room today, too. It's so cluttered with clothes and books and papers that there's barely room for the dog and me to sleep in it. When the dog's looking scared, I know it's bad. I'd take a picture, but I wouldn't do that to you guys. I have standards. Even I can be embarrassed. Plus, if I don't get it cleaned up I'm going to get grounded and end up missing the prom.

Thib scratched his head for a long time while he t'inkin', den he say, "I don't t'ink so, Bou ... but it sho' would make us even!"

Head vs. Heart (and I'm pleading the Fifth, not copping to either one)

You Follow Your Heart

You're romantic, sentimental, and emotional.
You tend to fall in (and out of) love very quickly.
Some may call you fickle, but you can't help where your emotions take you.
You've definitely broken a few hearts, but you're not a heartbreaker by nature.
Your intentions are always good, even if they change with the wind

You're rational, collected, and logical.
Generally, it takes you quite a while to fall in love.
In fact, you've even been accused of being very picky.
While you're cool, you're not ice cold.
You just know what you want, and don't mind waiting to get it.

Like I needed a quiz to tell me that.

I'm with you Roxan. No quiz needed to detect that.

I've heard that Home Depot is a great place to pickup guys. If I ever switch teams, I'll have to keep that in mind.

I'm on my best behavior, TC, trying not to get grounded. How's that tux looking?

You're welcome for the Grey's fix, Tania. And -- Happy Birthday! Cake is good.:)

Hey, T, looks like you made the trip in one piece. Yay! I ain't worried about you switching teams, babe. LOL. BTW, I didn't see a thing at Home Depot worth picking up, just a lot of Plumber's Crack.:)

They sell drugs at Home Depot? How did I miss that aisle? And when did plumbers start needing to sell crack? Mine charges me a fortune just to look at my toilet. Wait a minute, he said he was a plumber...

It's that aisle where the lighting is always out, Camille.

Wait a minute, he said he was a plumber...

Honey, they will SAY anything. LOL.

Wait. You think she can sing? Did daddy pay for her video? Sorry, I have to disagree with you. The girl needs to beg for her Dairy Queen job back. She wasn't even on tune. Are you tone deaf? LOL
Justing kidding with you. The girl CAN'T SING! Cats in heat sound better.

Serena said...

LOL. To each her own. I like the way she sounds.

Serena...you make me feel guilty. I should do some tidying up around here, too, but I'm just not in the mood today. It's overcast at the moment and I think I'm more motivated to watch a movie...far better plan for my afternoon, I think...yep...yep...thanks for convincing me! :)

Serena said...

Sounds like a great way to spend a day to me, Lee. What movie did you watch?

Serena...My sound card is shot..Is it a good video?
...Or should I be glad?

I knew a guy at our high school, that had 2 prom dates..He got away with it too.
The girls were from different schools!!

Anyway...Men ALWAYS follow the Heart don't they?..Thats why they get into so much trouble...Always Interesting You Are!!

Serena said...

I think the video is smokin', g-man. Go get a new sound card so you can judge for yourself.

If the guy took 2 girls to 2 proms at 2 different schools, I can see him getting away with it. If he took 2 girls to his own prom, I see a huge catfight.

DO men always follow their hearts? I suspect they follow something else altogether. LOL.

I figure if I can keep it half as interesting as your place, it'll be okay.:)
