A House ... Divided?

All in all it was just a brick in the wall.
All in all it was all just bricks in the wall.

("Another Brick in the Wall [Part I]," Pink Floyd)

There's a couple in Brooklyn, married for over twenty years, enmeshed in a bitter divorce case for nearly two years and now living under some pretty unusual circumstances. It seems that neither wanted to move out of their $923,000 house, so a few weeks ago the judge ordered that the house be divided off with a drywall partition. The wife claims the husband has bugged her phones, monitors her with video cameras, and physically and mentally abused her. The husband claims the wife has too many shoes. The couple owns another home, but both refuse to budge from THIS house. The wife has the top floor with the bedrooms, and a second floor kitchen. The husband has the first floor living room and second floor dining room. The doors are barricaded. These people -- my God! -- have children. Three are living in Mom's part of the house, one is bunking with Dad. It's a real-life 'War of the Roses.'

I can't even imagine living under such circumstances. When I'm done with a thing, I am DONE with it. There's no way in hell I'm going to continue to tolerate its presence, much less live in the same house with it -- partitioned or not. I know it takes all kinds, but I can't get my head around this lunacy at all.

The weather is nasty today -- sleet and freezing rain. I'd have preferred snow. It's still early; it could come. Still, I suspect it's going to be an icy mess in the morning.

Words Gone Wild don't rest on Sundays. Twisted Linguistics:

differance - Deliver us from sameness.

metion - The 'me' nation.

I can not get pass - You mean, you cannot get "it" "to" pass?

more then the checks - More, then -- the checks!

preceptive - One who is familiar with rules.

with whom we are dealing with - All righty, then.

War of the Roses was a good movie. Too bad they ended up like they did.

After trying to take the test and finding out that none of these apply to me at this time; I deem myself 100% obsession free.
Not to say I haven't had these thoughts, just not enough to worry me. Then again I could be obsessive and the questions did not cover my obsessions.

I'm obsessed with not being obsessed about anything... that doesn't sound right does it? 8)

I thought it was a pretty good movie, too, Steve. Even if if does from time to time hit a little close to home. LOL.

Roxan, now I'm going to obsess about whether you obsessed too long over the questions.:)

It sounds fine to me, Se7en. Everybody's got to obsess about SOMEthing. "Nothing" is better than ... nothing. LOL.

What kind of human beings are these people raising their children to be? It's a little frightening.

Those kids are going to be mondo confused at the very least. It is a bit frightening.

The results are not exactly what I thought they were going to be so I took the test 40 times....I think I should try 40 more and see if things change.....As soon as I wash my hands again....

Hey, how was your vacation, Rex? I can't complain about my week -- little of this, little of that. I didn't die.:)

You took the test 40 times, huh? And washed your hands each time. Nah, you're not obsessive. LOL.
