Miss Begotten is one of my pet names for myself, for Southern Gothic reasons best kept to myself. Miss Begotten tries to speak plainly, but sometimes she tends to babble -- parenthetically, of course. See the black patch on the uniform? It says "Doing The Work Of" and beneath it are the flags of France, Germany, and Russia.
Further proof that one must be gentle before one can be strong.
Yes it is very touching. I'm trying to have an open mind here and not flame bait, but while I support the soldiers 100% that badge on the one soldier is pure crap.
I have seen it before also, as well as photos of how uncomfortable some soldiers are. I wish they were all coming home for the holidays, well for good actually.

I have seen those pics before .. but the one with the soldier gently patting the kitten still touches me.
I got those pics in one of those forwarded e-mails today. I thought the one with the kitten was especially touching, too.
