Enigma

layouts myspace

Some days, things are (a) exactly what they seem. Other days, (b) nothing is what it seems. It's like life goes a little schizo and can't quite decide what it wants to be.

Are you having an (a) or (b) Monday? Although it's early, I can tell you that I'm having a little bit of both. My main life is pretty much "what you see is what you get." Here at the office, however, on the other side of the looking glass, it's always surreal and nothing, no matter how simple it appears on the surface, has one straightforward, sane meaning. Some people belong in straitjackets.

Every Cloud DOES have a Silver Lining...Or so I'm told!

Perhaps I'll find out whether it's real silver if I follow my impulse and walk out of this crappy job today. Of course, one can't eat silver so perhaps I should listen to my head instead.:)

I believe I'm having quite a surreal day.
It started with wild kittens getting into cars. A loud banging at my door and a deranged woman complaining about cats. A kid with a bucket of water wanted to throw it on a kitten to get it out of the wheel well. I stopped him. All it took was touching the kitten with my finger and it took off like the devil was on its tail.

The other thing that has happened can be read on my blog.

Damn straight it's not fair, Snow. Take names, kick butt, and take no prisoners!:)

Oh, good grief, Roxan. What is going on?! Are there sunspots or something out there? People are just friggin' crazy and twits are overrunning the world. I propose a Lock-Up-All-The-Idiots movement, starting right now.:)

I think Jane finally got a clue. I suspect someone else found it for her. I've been directed to the right people. I hope they have a clue.

Oh, good, Roxan. But you watch, they'll fluck that up, too.:)

Mona -- no, dear, I don't imagine it is. Alas, even faux poo stinks.:)

I began my new 'shift' last night (aka, perhaps, as 'The Slide To Perdition'), and managed to hang tough for the first 8 hours; the last four were borrowed from something akin to Hell. Tonight is a 'Ground Hog Day potential' repeat. I'm getting too old for this sh**. Are there openings for "ward of the state"?

Not a day passes by without the feeling that I don't quite have my feet on the ground.

Living in Japanland can do that to you.

I don't think becoming a ward of the state is a good idea, Skunk. I've heard bad things about those homes. No, I think putting yourself up for adoption is a better option. Your new mom and dad will have had to pass every test in the book with flying colors. And if you're lucky, they won't make you work those Groundhog Day shifts. If it works for you, I may give it a try. I've had about enough of Perdition.:)

I'd love that feet off the ground sensation, NYD. I'd be like Superman in a Xena Warrior Princess outfit, fasten my certifiable psycho boss into a straitjacket in 2 seconds flat, and float the hell on off to greener pastures.:)
