They Say That Patience...

...is a virtue but, really, what do they know? There could be something to it, or maybe it's just one of those platitudes designed to cut down on the whining of the masses.

If you'd like to write a little something on the topic of waiting, go for it.

Good things come to those that wait!

I've been waiting...for a girl like you!

Oh Waiter...Whats this fly doing in my soup?

I hope you feel better soon Red..

If patience is a virtue, does this make a hospital tops in virtuosity?

*ducking boos and throwd bedpans*

I think the hardest part is getting turned away on a technicality once you're supposed to be finished waiting.

Like when she turns on the nightstand light and says that she thought you were someone else.

Or when the rescue ship just happens to run out of life rafts.

Or how about when they run out of Koolaid at the religious retreat?

Yes, Galen, I've heard that platitude before about good things coming to those who wait. What I want to know is how long do you have to wait? Are they talking about this life, or eternity? And ... how long will it take the waiter to get that damn fly out of the soup? I feel pretty ragged, but if I wait 'til tomorrow, maybe that will change.:)

VE quotes The Princess Bride. Will wonders never cease?!:-)

Well, in a perfect world, Skunk, it SHOULD. This ain't a perfect world. Therefore, if you get sick, you'd better be prepared to wait. And possibly throw your own bedpan.:-)

Well, yeah, /t., I guess I can wait 'til tomorrow. Apparently, the waiting will make me more virtuous. Dang, I must be a VERY good girl.:)

Oh, I hear you, Pugsley. Those damned technicalities will get you every time. That rumor you heard about the life rafts on rescue ships is absolutely true, by the way. And to answer your Kool-Aid question, when they run out, it won't matter any more.:)
