Monday Musing

In just eight more days, ladies and gentlemen, it will be Election Day. I don't remember an election in which I couldn't get a barometer reading at this late date on who, media polls notwithstanding, the front runner is. The pro and con columns for both candidates are probably pretty well balanced. I myself am still not 100% sure for whom I wish to vote, though I'm reasonably sure which way I'm leaning. It's all very taxing to already over-taxed brains. Therefore, I say we forgo politics today and concentrate on Halloween.

You Are 50% Witch

You've got some pretty witchy stuff going on.

Even if you're not a witch, you've got to admit that you're a little freaky.

You have a strong independent streak - social norms be damned. More power to you.

Luckily, the time when you would have been burned at the stake has passed!

I just want to go on record that I was smitten with you BEFORE independent testing confirmed your ability to get freaky.

Well, Galen, apparently I am a bit freaky -- because we all know these quizzes never lie. It doesn't spook me out all that much, though. Today -- especially today -- I wouldn't mind upping the ante to, like, 99% witch.:-)

Poor VE. So far, I've been fortunate enough to be able to avoid the Christmas aisles. It pisses me off to see that stuff so early. I'm not a huge fan of money grubbing.:)

Damn if you didn't call the U.S. election process just right, /t. I know there are still tricks up their sleeves, so look out.:)

As long as you're not freaked out, Pugsley, it's all good. If there's one thing I'm scared of, it's a freaked out pup.:-)

I've voted, and now to more impotent thangs...

No Halloween costume needed hyar: today, I dealt with a drunk on the job, and this person of some level of erudition and cultural deportment -- diluted by 40% artificial stupidity enhancement -- declared that "you (meaning me) don't need a costume...you is ugly 'nuff ta scare candy outta babies!" This stellar representation of human life fresh from the bogs (before speech and silverware) then went on to speculate about my ancestral heritage and prodigy, proving that for some people, moron is a choice, and not necessarily a birthright.

Bottom line, I'm already for Halloween, I'm told ;)

Personally, I've never been wild about redheads...but there are ALWAYS exceptions to every rule, and you, Serena, IS AN EXCEPTION ;)

Drunks are damned annoying, Skunk. I say throw 'em all back in the bogs. And thank you so much for the vote of confidence. Some people -- granted, mostly bog people -- think redheads are from some other planet.:)

I'll see what I can do, Galen. Maybe I should try the phone first. With my luck, if I tried to cast a spell I'd end up getting Bush reelected.:-)
