I'm not in the best of spirits just now. Not that I'm going to sit around and whine about it 'til it's crazy-making, but there's a lot going on at work that can be stressful if I think about it too much. Also, I've just lost a friend to cancer. That's really saddened and upset me. Events like that force one to acknowledge one's own mortality, too. You never think you're going to die; that kind of thing happens to other people. And then something happens that makes you realize, you can -- and pretty quickly. Angst and loss and apprehension are all a part of life, but nonetheless unsettling.
Moving along to Halloween -- and the interjection of a little levity -- let's see how we fare on today's quiz.
What Your Cute Monster Says About You |
You are a giving, open, loving person. You truly want the world to be a better place. You appreciate what you have in life. You are very content. Your inner demon is sensitivity. You are very sensitive, and your sensitivity can be a double edged sword. People think you're cute because you're generous. You are easy to love - it's part of your charm. |

Cute, generous, charming, easy to love?
That be YOU!!!
I hope work goes better for you today..G
Sorry to hear about your loss...
I'm going to live forever. It been on my New Years Resolutions every year and I'll die trying...
Yeah, right as I get over a massive cold (been sick for days with fevor and puking) it gets cold outside. I am not complaining though since I live in Florida and it will be hot again within a matter of minutes.
PS- so sorry for the passing of your friend. I am never quite sure what to say in these circumstances.
Aww, thank you, Galen. That's sweet of you to say after you've had a glimpse into my Dark Side. The mechanics of work went better today, but I nearly froze my ass off!:)
Thank you, VE. Yep, I suspect I'll die suddenly while trying to live forever, too.:)
Sorry about your cold, Kan. Fever and puking are never fun. I'm nursing a mild case myself but, luckily, there's been no puke involved. Thanks for the kind words. It's always hard to know what to say. When my friend's mother called to tell me, it was hard to know what to say. I'd lost a friend, but she had lost her daughter. The lady's a steel magnolia, though; she kept it together.
I had a difficult time shifting from gloom to levity while reading this post. Oh wait. The lever was stuck. Okay now, I'm ready for "levity overdrive".
It's a fine line, Puggy. Just be careful in overdrive. Sometimes it hits Mach 2 with no warning.:)
We had a sudden weather change up here in New England too - a 30 degree swing! Today was cold, damp, blustery and raining at times sideways!
I had a touch of something too - sore throat & cough - and I think it settled in my lower back.
Also - sorry to hear about your friend. (RIP)
A *hug* and condolences for your loss.
I reckon you are a cute monster, shore 'nuff ;)
As for here on the NE front range of the Rockies, we're in classic "Indian Summer": 75 degrees today, and into the weekend. The first snow's behind us already, but I'm sure more is lurking for sometime in November.
Thank you, Skunky. Wow, I'm envious of your Indian Summer. We'll warm back up here, but it's been a rough couple of days.:)
