Miss Begotten is one of my pet names for myself, for Southern Gothic reasons best kept to myself. Miss Begotten tries to speak plainly, but sometimes she tends to babble -- parenthetically, of course. It's never my intention to offend (and usually that's true - except on those [maybe not so] rare occasions when I mean it very friggin' much) but it sometimes happens, so if you're unusually easily offended...

The Thursday Q & A
The subject of today's interrogation is: heat. More specifically, summer heat.
1. Where is your favorite place for a summer vacation?
2. When it's really hot out, what do you like to eat?
3. What activities do you tend to avoid during the heat of the day?
4. What's your favorite way to cool off on a hot day?
5. What's your usual summer not-at-work attire?
6. Do you find that the hotter it gets, the crankier you get?
7. Do you have air conditioning?
That's it, kids. That wasn't so hard, was it? It's cooled off a bit here and you'll be happy to hear that I'm way less cranky today.
These blasfomys that TWISTED LINGUISTICS rounded up might send your temperature soaring into the stratosphere -- and make your eyeballs sore.
tunny tuck - Type of surgery you might get from a quack.
bahavior - How to act in the Bahamas.
admunition - Don't use those bullets!

NO time now for the questions, but I'll tackle a few of the twisters:
aciedent - by chance to get all the answers corrected; accidently ace
perscription - is there a medicine to prevent copious sweating?
Democrate - Coffins especially designed for Democrats
fundamentaliest - persons who use the easiest methods
muslum - the other side of the camel tracks
sumbmitted - the total words sent to a publisher
If we're voting for pictures, I vote for today's instead of the curler picture...would you like to dance?
tunny tuck - reduction surgery for a very large tummy.
bahavior - the way Bahai's are supposed to act.
admunition - the stuff you want to throw at the TV set when unusually stupid commercials come on.
shread of truth - the rare bit of truth found in any book written by any political pundit.
inexcusible - tilt!
weather it is or isn't - well, that's sort of true, isn't it?
sumbmitted -
aciedent - sorry, can't think of anything for this one...
life well and prospur - greeting favored by Vulcan high school dropouts.
muslum - Abner's Islamic buddy?
Democrate - the box Mr Obama thinks he's thinking outside of.
fundamentaliest people - believers with their heads really, REALLY far up their...uh...never mind.
sucide bombers - unskilled murderous idiots who suc at what they do...
inexplicale - a mystery fabric used instead of percale for bargain-priced bedsheets.
perscription - doctor's order for an anti-perspirant?

Some time today, but not enough to convict words and I really miss beating up on words.
1. Where is your favorite place for a summer vacation?- my couch
2. When it's really hot out, what do you like to eat? Diet coke and Pretzels
3. What activities do you tend to avoid during the heat of the day?
Anything that involves activity.
4. What's your favorite way to cool off on a hot day? The confines of my A/C
5. What's your usual summer not-at-work attire? PJ pants and tye dye.
6. Do you find that the hotter it gets, the crankier you get? Not really, just the less social I get. I avoid going outside usually, but go even further when it is hot.
7. Do you have air conditioning? I live in Florida. We are not all citizens and not all legal and don't all speak teh same language, but we all know the value of the AC.
1. Where is your favorite place for a summer vacation?
Earth. Seriously…I pick a new place every year. Last year I visited Africa, Dubai, the Carribean and South America, this year it is Belize/Guatemala (leave on Saturday) and next year it will be the French Polynesia.
2. When it's really hot out, what do you like to eat?
Fruity rum drinks. Well…I sip them but I do eat the fruit afterwards…
3. What activities do you tend to avoid during the heat of the day?
Work (and at all times of the day)
4. What's your favorite way to cool off on a hot day?
Pool, ocean, lake, river and then refer to number 2 answer
5. What's your usual summer not-at-work attire?
Short, T-Shirts, Sandals…on any day 70 degrees or warmer.
6. Do you find that the hotter it gets, the crankier you get?
Nope. We don’t have humidity here and few really hot days so I enjoy them.
7. Do you have air conditioning?
Yes. I don’t like sleeping hot.
Well, since I had the time to do it, and left the sense not to at home, I took relief from heat by plowing straight into severe thunderstorms in east/central Kansas yesterday. Sadly, only one photo, and that of only a funnel cloud. Episode on the blog in 9 days.
I've had a really tough day and am exhausted, so permit me just this once to be a complete hoser and say simply thanks to you all for playing, merci for commenting, gracias for making me smile in the midst of mondo fatigue, and ... hoo-ahhh for the fine word interpretations. Y'all are the best. Happy Thursday! And if my Friday isn't better than today, I'll be moving to Latvia.:-)
