Summertime, and the Livin' is Easy. Sometimes.

If Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of Summer, then we're off and running. It sure felt like a Summer weekend around here, with open windows, shorts, flip-flops, temps in the 80s, and outdoor cooking. Apparently, everybody in the neighborhood had the same idea about cooking out; my house smelled like smoke and charcoaled meat all weekend. Shorts, of course, meant leg shaving -- and I have a war wound to prove it. I guess when you have knobby knees and ankle bones, it's inevitable that you're going to draw blood.

My dog has had her Summer haircut and I think she's pleased about feeling sleek and air conditioned, not to mention cute. I see her lolling about with a big goofy dog grin on her face. I guess next she'll want me to get her some eunuchs with feather fans and grapes.

There was, thank God, no bad weather around here over the long weekend. I feel so badly for all the people out west who've been hit so hard by tornadoes.

I'm back to work today; three-day week because of the Monday holiday. That ain't too shabby.

I could talk (for hours, probably) about how things are never easy (except that they really are as long as you use the right approach), or how things are never what they appear (except that they're usually exactly what they seem to be if you're looking at them correctly), or how there's no free lunch and you never get something for nothing (except when you luck out on rare occasions and do just that), but I don't feel like it.

Instead, let's just play with some Words Gone Wild. I've got some of them; you get the rest, please.

I hat that to - Someone who raised his hat in praise of something or other.

he is an butt - Yeah, and he's probably a azzhole, too.

stong - Stolen thong.

conviniently - Easy method of wine-making.

their evil selfs - Of or relating to elves with ulterior motives.

mirrow - Looking glass for minnows.

It mostly rained around here but at least it wasn't cold. I spent most of it hiking, cleaning up, and just hanging out. Which is pretty much what I do all week too except that I blog more.

I don't know nothin' 'bout that fusion stuff, /t., but -- Happy Tuesday!:)<3

Funny definitions today, Bilbo. I love that last one. LOL.:)

Most things seem more bearable when it isn't cold, VE. I don't feel like blogging or cleaning up, but I could go for that hanging out deal.:)

I thought I was having one of those hot flashes, but it turns out I was way too close to the grill. Still, I need to check and see if I can still produce offspring.

Thank God yours are in remission, Leelee. Hot flashes can turn a woman into a lethal weapon in about 10 seconds.:)

Step away from the grill, Puggy, and get thee to the vet. God forbid there should be no chance of a pick of the litter in my future.:-)

genere only one copy of talk show host Ellen's book; as opposed to two or more which would be generes.

attemt a poor effort as a result of having to take a "p"

I had seen the "waxing" article in you previous post before - and it is as hilarious as it was the first time.

The storms need to cooperate and, go out onto the relatively vacant expanse of Elbert County in Colorado. There, they can do what they like, and I can do what I like (aka, more wall hangings).

Funny words, Mike. LOL. Darn it, I missed "Eddie" again. I'll have to go get my fix.:)

Maybe those storms will detour now, Skunk. I hope so. Who're you hanging off the walls?:-)
