Seeing Red

It was gorgeous yesterday -- sunny and 75 degrees (and promises to be even warmer today). It's Springtime, for sure. I'm not saying that in Springtime my thoughts turn to red, but red -- or slightly more pinkish -- stuff around the house did for some reason catch my eye yesterday. Stuff like

Rings with red stones

My trusty red Dirt Devil

Lamps with red shades

Dark pink toenails against my fuchsia back porch

Red flowers in the folding screen in my bathroom

My new red phone

Dark pink, much more red looking than the photo suggests, blossom in my back yard. Anybody know what this is?

The Keys to Your Life

Anything good in your life comes from your ability to play and be free.

The best way for you to solve a problem is to let go of it.

Anything bad in your life comes from sinking to the level of those around you.

Remember to lift people up, and refuse to participate in anything petty.

TGIF and Happy Weekend!

Thank you for reading the red, VE.:)

A poem, G? For me? Merci! Boy, I did clean things today, too. Not with the little red Dirt Devil, though. Unh-unh, I hauled out the big boy -- and I'm almost ashamed to admit that I had to stare at it for about 3 minutes before I remembered how to turn it on. So, you think that's a camellia? It doesn't look anything like my other camellias, which won't bloom again 'til late fall. Hmmmm. I knew you'd like that new phone. Shiny. Red. Pretty. You have a great weekend, too. What am I saying? Of COURSE, you will.:D

Maybe it's just me, but I can't see the word "fuchsia" without thinking inappropriate thoughts...

Serena said...

How inappropriate? Because if you're talking about your thoughts straying toward shades of pinky red and purple, I've had them, too.:-)

I think it's that flower that makes you hallucinate when you eat it, and is still legal. I'll be right over.

I could go for a ruby ring too. :)

Is it the Sixth Dimension, Galen? I thought it was only the Fifth. I know you know, though. Sixth it is. I've been working my butt off today, and yet I feel oddly relaxed. Am I high on cleaning product fumes, do you think? Or just senile?

Anyway... another great day to you, too.

LOL, Galen. Now you've given me an earworm. That song'll be in my head all night. I guess the windchimes going off constantly will help offset the pain.:-)

Tee-hee, /t. I DO hear deaf people. They yell a lot. I'm not sure about the Aquarians. I have some fish in the freezer. Does that count?:)
