The Thursday Q & A

Make your own clipart like this @ www.TXT2PIC.com

I'm baaaaaack. I had a great time but, like all trips and holidays, it was exhausting. There was camaraderie and food and shopping and food and presents and food and doggie mishaps and food and domestic disasters and food and visiting and ... more food. I'm still a little tired. I'll get over it. I ate so much that it may take a little longer to get over the shock once I step on the scales and assess the damage. But -- what I want to know now is:

1. How was YOUR holiday?

2. What did Santa bring you?

3. Are you at work today?

4. If you were going to make a New Year's Resolution that you intend to keep, what would it be?

5. Do you, like me, find that time is passing at warp speed these days?

**Have a question for Miss Begotten? Get it in by tonight, please.

TWISTED LINGUISTICS:-

projerct - The project got pulled; i.e., jerked.

kniow - A kiosk where answers are dispensed.

I haved - I mustered up my nerve and I gotted it done.

tomarrow - Hurry up and get those bones cracked to get at the good stuff.

reequired - Manndatory.

A few odd Google search terms that caught my eye this week:
groundhog prom queen
pronography
sexy shiny shoes
bad Santa

Trée? Santa brought you ONLY underwear? There's something wrong with that Santa. I hear you on #3. Me, neither. No frailing way!:)

Sorry it was only so-so, Roxan. #3 is, alas, endemic to women, isn't it?:) I concur with you on #4, with the thought in mind that I should perhaps make ONE and actually try to keep it. A little self-discipline never hurt me.:)

Kan, I'm so sorry you got illness for the holidays! I hope you feel better soon. If you're still sick in the A.M., DON'T go to work. #4 sounds like a fine resolution to me.:-)

Looks like we have a consensus going on #5.:)

/t., why, thank you, kind and gallant sir. My holidays were jolly, as I hope yours were. I'm glad to be home, though, and I really missed you guys.:)

1. How was YOUR holiday? I got to see my daughter, its all a Dad could want.

2. What did Santa bring you? The great time referenced above.

3. Are you at work today? Yes.

4. If you were going to make a New Year's Resolution that you intend to keep, what would it be? Not to make any additional resolutions.

5. Do you, like me, find that time is passing at warp speed these days? No. It moves at trans-warp speed, didn't they teach you relativity in school? (I figure that most states have a superior educational system, since mine didn't teach us such things(anything that travels faster than my mind can conceive must be trans-warp(my mind is warped.)))

kniow - acronym for Know now, I owe double you, used after losing that double or nothing bet.

That's really wonderful that you got to spend time with your daughter, Charles. That makes me happy for you.

Alas, they TRIED to teach me relativity in school but, like Home Ec, that's one of those thingies I flunked. I do get the whole concept of time passing at trans-warp speed, though. Mainly because I'm living it.:)

1) I didn't end anybody's life - including my own - tempting as that always is during this time of year. So by that standard alone, it was okay, and my streak is intact (look out, Cal Ripken!).

2) An extra day off for XMAS, and a couple more due to weather. And that was a great gift.

3) Worked from home (so don't try breaking in to steal my stuff ... which was probably the motive for your question).

4) I resolve to not eat liver, head-cheese or tripe.

5) Yes and no. Time does fly, but during the depths of winter it drags too.

1. Great and unstressful
2. Toys and treats; what more could you want?
3. Work? What's that?
4. My usual; live forever (going good so far)
5. No; I ran out of dilythium crystals and Kirk, Spock, Scotty and pretty much all the other damn important people are down on some alien planet trying to find some more; I'm pretty much stuck on impulse speed right now.

Puggy, any time you can say #1, you're ahead of the game. #2 - deep snow? You must have had a white Christmas. Dang it, you caught me on #3. Those are excellent #4 resolutions. I wouldn't eat it, either.:)

VE, kudos on #1, 2, 3, and 4. I'm sorry to hear about #5. I'll see about getting up a rescue party to get those dilythium crystals to you ASAP. I hate to think of you stuck on impulse speed.:-)

1. How was YOUR holiday?
It was nice, quiet and peaceful. No drama :) Which I likey.

2. What did Santa bring you?
Nothing...

3. Are you at work today?
I was! :) I am home now.

4. If you were going to make a New Year's Resolution that you intend to keep, what would it be?
I am still thinking on it. I always make one. I only missed 2 months of movies this past year (my resolution was to watch a movie at the theatre every month)

5. Do you, like me, find that time is passing at warp speed these days?
Ab.so.lutely. What IS that!!?

I answered last week too... but blogger must have munched it. I've been having to use IE instead of Firefox lately and it's not as reliable...

Hi, Snow. I'm glad you had a peaceful Christmas sans drama. That's the best kind. I'm so sorry Blogger ate your comment last week. Stupid Blogger! #5 -- I don't know what it is, but I wish it would slow down.:)
