1. What's the farthest you've ever had to travel to get home for a holiday? I don’t know miles, but it was from Boulder, Colorado to Miami, Florida.

2. Will you be sad or glad to see an end to the holiday hype? I used to love the hype, but this so called “War on Christmas” has ruined it for me.

1. From Santiago, Chile
2. I'll be saturated enough when it's all over; I'll be glad to move on.
3. Horseradish and domestic bottled/canned beer (I'm not kidding either...there is something in the processing that only impacts me in the USA and even foreign beers produced here impact me but not when I go abroad)
4. Holly. I don't need a plant as an excuse to kiss my girlfriend
5. Absolutely; in high definition (well, I'd have to be high to have dreamed of that...)
6. Harry Potter 7 (how obvious is that...)
7. Funny...I just did a post on them. They get my vote!

I kind of prefer holly, too, Tre'e, though I like mistletoe -- even if it is kind of creepy because it's a parasite. LOL @ your #7. You're more charitable than I.:)

I hear you on #2, Mike. Blueberries give you hives? Yikes! I'm puckered -- you got mistletoe?:)

All the hoopla re #2 kind of sucks, huh, Kan? You're allergic to EVERYthing? Oh, my. I'm intrigued by #5. I'll have to watch and see if you post it. #7 -- ah, yes, I guess the Queen Mother deserves a vote as well.:)

Even in a rush, /t., you give good definitions.:)

That's so strange about #3, VE. I wonder what the offending ingredient is? Good for you on #4! #7 -- you did? I'll have to go see it.:)

I think I've always dreamed in color, too, Mona. I'm always disconcerted by people who say they don't. Terrific definitions from you today, and the new photo is beautiful.:)

I've gotten terribly used to a dear friends companionship every day, now I hear that that person will be "out of town" for a few days.
Does abscence really make the heart grow fonder??

Galen, Miss B will be delighted to think on your question for a spell and see if she can answer it for you. We'll see what she comes up with. Whatever cornpone gibberish it is, you have to promise not to shoot the messenger.:)

1. What's the farthest you've ever had to travel to get home for a holiday? Dunno, never tried to get home just for a holiday in the ~3 years I lived elsewhere.

2. Will you be sad or glad to see an end to the holiday hype? Glad, of course.

3. Are you allergic to anything? If so, what? Yeah, oak pollen and the super allergens, like Oleander has.

4. Which winter plant do you like best, holly or mistletoe? They're both toxic, so I've never tried to eat either.

5. Do you dream in color? Yes.

6. What was the last book you read that you really, really liked? Don't remember which one of Frank Herbert's books I read last.

7. Will you vote for the Spears sisters as Queens of the White Trash? Votes don't matter, Queen's are born to their heritage.

LOL @ your #4, Charles. Hopefully, everyone knows not to eat it.:) #6 - was it one of the "Dunes?"

Your definitions had me laughing and snorting. You did a bang-up job today!

Note: That "absore" word? The person was trying to convey how much he hated something; e.g., "I abhor violence!"

Charles said...

I'm surprised he didn't spell it "abwhore".

Charles said...

Yes, by far, my favorite books were in his Dune series. I did read some of his earlier work also, Heisenberg's Eyes, The Green Brain (not so great) and a couple of others.

Serena said...

LOL. Abwhores are those who work out all day so they can show off their abs all night.:-)

Not that far.
2. Will you be sad or glad to see an end to the holiday hype?
Glad
3. Are you allergic to anything? If so, what?
Cows-seriously
4. Which winter plant do you like best, holly or mistletoe?
holly
5. Do you dream in color?
yes
6. What was the last book you read that you really, really liked?
none
7. Will you vote for the Spears sisters as Queens of the White Trash?
No. I think Britney has mental problems and I was a single mom with my first child. It would be hypocritical of me.

1. What's the farthest you've ever had to travel to get home for a holiday? 753 miles, I believe.

2. Will you be sad or glad to see an end to the holiday hype? I love Christmas and I think it always ends too soon!

3. Are you allergic to anything? If so, what? Winter and dry air, I think. Plus just about every cosmetic product I've tried lately.

4. Which winter plant do you like best, holly or mistletoe? Poinsettias!

5. Do you dream in color? Always

6. What was the last book you read that you really, really liked? A Brief History of the Dead by Kevin Brockmeier

Serena said...

Arnold Schwhatever is an abwhore?

I hadn't thought of it, Mona, but you know, he could be.:-)

So, Roxan, in light of #3, foods like milk and beef are out for you? I agree that Britney has mental problems. The problem I have with 16-year-old pregnant Jamie Lynn is that she's held up as a role model to very young girls. It just doesn't fly.

Why, thank you, Greeny-pie. You mighty cute your own self.:)

As much as I like Christmas, I'm always rather relieved when the end of it comes. #4 -- yeah, poinsettas are pretty. Of course, they don't work so well with my Black Thumb condition, but I do have a nice silk one.:) Re #7, ain't that the truth!

rkfinnell said...

No, I can eat beef and drink milk. I'm allergic to cow dander.

Serena said...

Oh, I see. It's only cows on the hoof that you're allergic to. Luckily, I doubt you come into contact with them all that often.
