You Know a Lot About Christmas |
You got 6/10 correct You know tons about the history and traditions surrounding Christmas. When you celebrate the holidays, you never forget their true meaning - or all the little fun details. Random Christmas fact: 7% of mall Santas were found to have a criminal background. |

1. There is nothing special that I don't eat at least once during the year.
2. Yes, not much yet.
3. No, Hazel has always been a house cat. She only snuck out once.
4. No more than usual.
5. Tough call. See here for another point of view.
6. Yes and yes.
7. I don't understand the question.
Bomb-barted - being simpsonized.
1. What do you especially like to eat during the holidays that you don't normally eat the rest of the year?
Those sugar coated Christmas cookies shaped like angels and trees and such
2. Have you had snow yet this year where you live? I live in Miami. The only snow we get here is illegal.
3. Do you put a little coat on your pet when you take him/her out in the winter? G-d no. NO
4. Do you find the current climate of political correctness oppressive? Not really. It is more freeing in some ways. For example, I know exactly what words to use to raise offense now where as before I would have to guess if I wanted to offend
5. Do you think we'll get out from under the yoke of GWB without getting ensnared in another war? Sadly, no. These things always go in threes
6. Do you think Denny Crane is suffering from dementia, or do you think he enjoys it? I don’t know who Denny Crane is. Maybe I am suffering from dementia
7. At what age do you plan to retire? 37
I got 6/10 correct as well. I wish they would tell me which ones I got wrong and what the correct answers were.
#1 is pretty much true of me, too, Jack. Hazel sounds like a very well behaved girl.:) Your definition of "bomb-barted" rocks!
I love those #1 sugar cookies, too, Kan. I eat sugar cookies all year, but you can only get the pretty decorations during the holidays, alas. LOL at #2. #4 -- yes, there is that. Damn #5; 3 used to be my lucky number. Denny Crane is a character on 'Boston Legal' played by William Shatner. He's becoming senile but claims he just has Mad Cow Disease.:)
ARRRGGG! I'm so stressed, filling out applications online and having them fail. I had to take a break.
1. What do you especially like to eat during the holidays that you don't normally eat the rest of the year? There's a Spanish candy that my granddaddy used to buy, made with almonds, honey and egg, only seems available around the holidays.
2. Have you had snow yet this year where you live? Uh, not as far South as Kan, but snow here is a very rare thing to see, I've seen it snow here once, and my grandmother used to talk about how it snowed once (she was born in 1897, if I remember correctly.)
3. Do you put a little coat on your pet when you take him/her out in the winter? No pets.
4. Do you find the current climate of political correctness oppressive? I find everything oppressive these days.
5. Do you think we'll get out from under the yoke of GWB without getting ensnared in another war? I think the NSI assessment will prevent congress from voting for another reason to steal us blind.
6. Do you think Denny Crane is suffering from dementia, or do you think he enjoys it? I haven't been watching Boston Legal, but I think he may suffer from it in real life.
7. At what age do you plan to retire? As soon as I can build enough up to not have to work, so I'll probably die at work, if I can find a job, unless of course, I can finish my book and make a fortune, then I'll just go into writing. Then I'll die at work.
ha haha ha ahha hhah ah hah ahah hah ahah a hahah ah ah ah ha haha hha hah aha hhah ah hah ahhaahah h ahah a hahahhah ah a hah a haha ahahh ahah ah aha ha ha!
as charles shows clearly here with his answer to question #7... be careful what you wish for
/t.
Jack K.,
its href not HEREF.
1. Is fruit cake a food? Not that I'm implying I'd eat it though. I guess I'd go with Kan's answer on the sugar cookies. Yum.
2. Yes, but so far it's only been in this little glass snow globe. Seriously though, we did get some that came down but didn't stick.
3. No, but I have been known to pet my coat. I think there is medication for that...
4. ...and a nappy ho ho ho to one and all. Nope, probably doesn't concern me...
5. We are at war? I thought that was a rescue mission to free those suffering to be a democracy...
6. Is that Frazier Crane's other brother? I'm so lost...
7. When they stop letting me blog all day.
Ps - I put up even more nonsensical poetry over at my blog.
1. Pumpkin Pie
2. Nope
3. The wife does
4. Yes
5. Yes
6. Who?
7. I can't think that far ahead
1. Traditional Japanese cusine. I wish I could explain just how good it is, but it's something that can only be experienced, not described.
2. I sure have!
3. Damn cat wears a fur coat and she's far too vain to put a wool one over it.
4. Ridiculous is how I and the people I work with describe it.
5. All things have an expiration date.
6. Who is Denny Crane?
7. I know when I would like to retire.
I also know the difference between fantasy and reality.
Sorry about the applications stress, Charles. Good luck with that. I have a vague impression of the kind of candy you're talking about, but I don't know what it's called, either. #4 -- Ditto. Damn. #6 -- you have to wonder, don't you? LOL. #7 -- I'm not sure, but I think that's one of the Rules of the Universe.:)
/t. is amused. Life is good. Re #7 -- ain't that the truth!:)
I don't know, VE, but I would have to dispute that fruitcake is a food. I've seen them used as doorstops, sandbags, weapons, yada-yada. I've seen only two people in my entire life actually eat them, and those two weren't right. Yes, there is medication available for #3. LOL. And LOL at #4. #5 is true only if you're a Republican.:-)
To your #3, Trée, all I can say is, ain't that always the way? Sheee-ute. LOL. How come nobody else knows who Denny Crane is? I'm beginning to think there's something wrong with me.:) Don't worry, I can't actually think that far ahead with #7, either.
Don't blame the kitty, NYD. She just doesn't want to cover up that glorious fur coat she worked so hard for. Your answer to #1 sounds like blog post fodder, dude! #4 -- yes! It certainly is. Your answer to #5 is dead on, and thank God for that. Re #7, you're lucky -- I'm still trying to figure out the difference between fantasy and reality.:)
1. What do you especially like to eat during the holidays that you don't normally eat the rest of the year?
I guess that would be turkey.
2. Have you had snow yet this year where you live?
Nope, and don't expect to get any, either.
3. Do you put a little coat on your pet when you take him/her out in the winter?
No, but I don't have a pet.
4. Do you find the current climate of political correctness oppressive?
Yes.
5. Do you think we'll get out from under the yoke of GWB without getting ensnared in another war?
Good question.
6. Do you think Denny Crane is suffering from dementia, or do you think he enjoys it?
dunno
7. At what age do you plan to retire?
What's that?
1. What do you especially like to eat during the holidays that you don't normally eat the rest of the year? Fake "turkey" made of tofu with a yummy garbanzo-bean-flour gravy. It's a pain to make so we only have it during the holidays.
2. Have you had snow yet this year where you live? No. Wah!
3. Do you put a little coat on your pet when you take him/her out in the winter? No, because our pet came with her own coat.
4. Do you find the current climate of political correctness oppressive? I don't mind saying "Happy Holidays," "African American," and "She/he." I think there are decades of poorly-thought-out phrases that we have to atone for at this point. So we go to far to the other side for awhile...eh.
5. Do you think we'll get out from under the yoke of GWB without getting ensnared in another war? It's what I'm praying for!
6. Do you think Denny Crane is suffering from dementia, or do you think he enjoys it? Who?
7. At what age do you plan to retire? Just as soon as I've paid off my student loans. Which means when I'm 65.
LOL at your #3, Lamby. Your "kids" have their own built-in coats. I really don't know what #7 is, either, because I figure I'll be working 'til I'm about 90.:)
Tofu, Greeny? I just don't know about that, babe. My pup has her own coat, too, but I still worry about her getting cold, so she has a little red jacket. Re #5, amen, sister! We can but hope. And hope somebody holds him down 'til he's outta there.
1) Yes Sometimes I;ll splurge, and buy a standing Rib Roast.
2)Ha!..At least 6-8 inches.
3) Say what?
4) Naw...one shouldn't go around disparaging folks anyway!!
5) Lets hope so
6)Is that Frasier Cranes brother?
7) Hmmmm..Maybe never?
I know that it's beginning to look a lot like it...xoxoxbgxoxox
Ooooo, Galen, I love standing rib roast. Re #2, I know you're going to get way more snow than I am, so don't rub it in. #6 -- dang, you don't know Denny Crane, either? LOL. #7 -- join the club.:)
Yes, it IS beginning to look a lot like it. Cards and ribbons and trees and decorations and brightly colored packages all over the place. I love it!:)
xoxo
You Know a Lot About Christmas
You got 5/10 correct
"You know tons about the history and traditions surrounding Christmas.
When you celebrate the holidays, you never forget their true meaning - or all the little fun details."
1) devilled eggs!!..I couldn't think past that.
#2, thanks to this question we received abut 2 inches of snow. It is never fun to shovel snow from the drive way. An iPod does make it bearable.
Charles, oops! I do know about href. I'm surprised that it was published.
I think this is the site I referenced.
It is, I just tested it.
Thanks, Charles.
1. What do you especially like to eat during the holidays that you don't normally eat the rest of the year?
It's not a different -kind- of food I indulge in this time of year: it's a considerably larger -quantity-.
2. Have you had snow yet this year where you live?
Nope.
3. Do you put a little coat on your pet when you take him/her out in the winter?
I try on the older guy because he shivers and gets super-cold (he doesn't seem able to regulate his body temperature anymore), but both the guys seem to hate them, so I give up. Even in the Vermont freezing rain and snow, they went au naturale.
4. Do you find the current climate of political correctness oppressive?
Considerably less oppressive than evangelicalism.
5. Do you think we'll get out from under the yoke of GWB without getting ensnared in another war?
We can only hope. I think we're screwed for the foreseeable future.
6. Do you think Denny Crane is suffering from dementia, or do you think he enjoys it?
Wha--? Who? I seem to be in the majority of confused participants here.
7. At what age do you plan to retire?
Drone on, Suckahhhhs.
LOL @ your #1, Sling. I love deviled eggs, too.:-)
So sorry about your snow, Jack.:)
Hi, Camille. I think #1 affects us all in that way. I know it does me. I concur with your #5.:)
