SJ's Saturday Jam

Today's video is very old. Today, I feel very old. The video seems especially apropos because all the household problems over the past twenty-four hours have from time to time turned me into a wild thing. I think the siding guy is a little scared of me today, and I doubt whether the electricians will ever barge into another room without knocking. The good news is, the electricity is now (knock on wood) back on.

It might cheer me up if you were to write limericks on the subject of household calamities, roughing it with no electricity, and ... wild things. Have a great Saturday, kids.

There once was a Pug from the Southwest

Looking for redheads to molest

So he posed as a tradesman

And he then barged his way in

Now he's under arrest

I'm glad I don't live in a house.
Working on them makes me a grouse.
Like mowing the yard,
Every weekend is hard.
You likely think me a louse.

Must have been the nosy neighbor who called the cops, Puggy. Wasn't me. I don't actually mind an occasional molestation by a cute pup. Thanks for the limerick -- made me grin.:)

Yay! G-man finally got to see a video. Makes a big difference when you can see & hear it, huh? You bet I like the limerick. Cute! You certainly do have a way with limericks.:-)

And thank YOU for YOUR limerick, Charles. You're definitely not a grousing louse; I wouldn't want to mow the lawn every weekend, either.:)

There once was a girlie named Greeny
Who was such a D-I-Y queenie,
Neighbors quickly said, "Hi,"
Running timidly by
(For her house was a little bit leany).

Serena Joy has a calamity:
Her house is the horror of Amity
Her lights have all gone
She's been a wild one
And in general has felt quite gawddammity

damned workmen. sigh. I can't think of a limerick and it's raining here and I'm hungry and the dog smells like a goat.

That's a darling limerick, Greeny. But -- why is your house leany? Yikes!:)

And thank YOU, Camille, for another adorable limerick. I love it.:)

Camille's delightful word, gawddammity, describes those workmen to a "T," Corn Dog. I like goats. I'd trade you one siding installer and one electrician for a good one.:)

A carpenter whose nickname was Dwight.
Had a tool belt he kept fastened tight.
He whipped out his level,
for Serena to revel.

With his hammer, she knocked his nuts way outta sight.

I love your limerick, NYD. And I gotta get me a hammer. LOL.:)

Thank you, Madame Pink. All commiseratons gratefully accepted.:)

Thanks, TC. I'm having a glorious day -- nary a workman in sight!:)

It's a good thing I don't like lemonade, Mona. LOL.
