Presents, Clocks, Ears, and Stuff

As bad as I felt yesterday, I did some (online) Christmas shopping. I had to, because there was an item I particularly wanted to get and it was being offered online at about half the normal price -- and yesterday was the final day for the sale price. I figured as long as I was buying that item, I might as well get a couple of others, too. It feels really good to already have a few Christmas present purchases under my belt. Each purchase reduces a little stress, you know what I mean?

I don't know what the heck was going on with my ear yesterday. I don't think it was cold-related, because my actual outer ear was swollen, sore, and red. I'm thinking perhaps a spider or something bit me. Thankfully, it's much better today, as are the cold symptoms.

Yesterday marked the change back to Standard time. I get so weary of changing a multitude of clocks, not to mention adjusting my internal clock, twice a year. I wish they -- the ubiquitous They -- would quit messing with the time. The only good thing about the latest change is that I don't have to get up in the dark for another six months. I still haven't reset my watch. Every attempt to pull the tiny little stem up resulted in another nail chip. Grrrrr.

I have for you today some Words Gone Wild spotted by Roxan. I'm not even going to attempt to define them. Rather, I'm simply going to throw them out here for you to gawk at. Sometimes, less is more.

What Your Handwriting Says About You

You are a laid back person with rather low energy. You aren't lazy... you *are* sensitive and empathetic.

You are very extroverted and outgoing. You are loving, friendly, and supportive. However, you are also manipulative and controlling at times.

You are balanced and grounded. You know how to get along well with others.

You need a bit of space in your life, but you're not a recluse. You expect people to give you a small amount of privacy, and you respect their privacy as well.

You are conservative, old fashioned, and a little stubborn. You are resistant to change.

You are a decent communicator. You eventually get your point across, but sometimes you leave things a bit ambiguous.

***What Your Handwriting Says About You***

You are a fairly energetic person. You know how do pace yourself, and you deal well with stress.

You are somewhat outgoing, but you're not a natural extrovert. You think first before you act. You tend to be independent, rational, and logical.

You are balanced and grounded. You know how to get along well with others.

You need a bit of space in your life, but you're not a recluse. You expect people to give you a small amount of privacy, and you respect their privacy as well.

You are somewhat traditional, but you are also open to change. You listen to your head and your heart.

You are a poor communicator. No one really knows exactly what you're getting at.

What a crock. LOL

Hey didn't say anything earlier, but I made a small online application, with the purpose of counting the words during the writing of 55 Flash Fiction, you can read about it on my blog.

What a crock.

That's what I thought, too, Roxan. LOL.:-)

Hey, Kan, if I worked a little sympathetic magic and you're feeling no pain, I'm glad! Funny definitions; thank you!:)

And thank YOU for the poem, Charles. How cute! I don't do 55s, but I'll certainly take a look at your application.:)

Whether ill or well, online shopping sounds like a great idea. :)
In a shopful of people at Christmas is never a pleasant place to be.

I find online shopping a huge convenience, Winters. And my credit card companies love me for it. LOL. Seriously, once the actual shopping rush gets started, I'd almost just as soon slit my wrists as be out in the middle of it.

Beware of Charlotons:
Charlotons are robotic copies of Charlton Heston. This not be a twisted linguistic. Them robots be more dangerous than the original.

copywright:
This is fer people who steal the comedic works of Stephen Write and pass it off as their own.

Me handwriting resuts:

Hi Serena!!!
I'm so glad you feel better. Funny how shopping and buying stuff always make you feel better. Unless of course you are buying anti-freeze, or Imodium AD, or Ex-Lax or...whatever, you get the picture. Anyway, It's also great if you hate crowds.

Glad you're feeling better, tootsie-pop!

Scary, that depends entirely on who's on the other end of the phone. LOL. Love your definitions, dude. Yay!:)

Au contraire, G-man. Buying stuff only makes me feel better if I'm starving and it's food. Otherwise, it's much like the hooker creed: Get 'em in, get
'em up, get 'em off, and get 'em out. Except with shopping, it's get in there, elbow the big mamas out of the way, grab it, and get the hell out.

Another poem? Oooooo. Who cares if it rhymes? Or how good it smells? Listen, about that contest thingy, I'll be happy if I win a candy bar. Seriously:)

Thank you, Greeny, sweetie. I hope no one at your house has this crud.:)

I bet you had a mutant sandworm crawl into your ear while you were sleeping, they enter while we're dreaming.
One of the first symptoms is a craving for ice cream, did you crave ice cream serena?
There is a 14 day gestation period then you explode and a new Serena emerges...kinda like a Stepford wife or something.

Serena Joy said...

Thankfully, no, I haven't craved ice cream. That means it's not a mutant sandworm, right? And I'm not going to explode? Or get knifed in my bed by a Stepford Serena? Nope, I'm definitely not going to eat any ice cream.:-)
