"Dear Lord,
Thank you for bringing me to Timmy's house and not to Michael Vick's.
AMEN!"

Want to know what my Chicken Voodoo produced? Rain! Buckets and buckets of it. We haven't had any in ages, so this is very welcome rain. It has caused some flooding problems in some areas, though, and there were tornado warnings out all day yesterday in some nearby communities.

TWISTED LINGUISTICS is torturing these Words Gone Wild today.

shot a dear - Oops! That's a felony.

These, I don't know what to do with. Do you?

Brad, Kan-san, that is freaky-deaky about your evil name. Kind of makes you scratch your head, huh? Damn if I don't agree with you on #4. When you already have the potential, insanely dramatic BS just shoots you right over the edge. LOL.

Roxan, I AM shocked! Poetry? Good for you! Ditto #4. I see a pattern shaping up here.:) WAY cool goddess name, and your definition is spot on.

Me, too, Galen, on #2. Me, too. You being you, yep, #5 would just have to be. Um, you like red, do you, my dear?:)

2. Do you like rainy days? When the rain is needed, yes.

3. Have any of your writings ever been published? Not really.

4. Does too much drama in your life make you crazy? Yes, and any is too much.

5. What kind(s) of candy are you giving out for Halloween this year?
I don't think I've had a knock on the door for the last five years.
6. What was the last concert you attended? I think it was DMB, it was them or Creed.

You need to do an online manual for that Rain Voodoo.

Orphah Winfree- a greek-afro-american lottery.
asshure- [Origin: bef. 1000; ME asse, OE assa, prob. hypocoristic form based on OIr asan < L asinus; akin to Gk ónos ass+ Czech: hurá! ]1. Gleeful shout for a stupid, foolish, or stubborn person, usually heard at Republican National Conventions.
that don't effect me- ineffectual rules, like the rules of English on the user of this phrase.
hastle- an out of style dance.

Amen to #4, Charles. Pretty much any amount is too much. I haven't seen Creed, but I'd like to. Excellent definitions today, sir. Maybe I should think about that Rain Voodoo manual. LOL.:)

Yes

3. Have any of your writings ever been published?

4. Does too much drama in your life make you crazy?
Yes, no, maybe. Maybe I was crazy prior to the drama. Sometimes I have to decide that whatever is happening is in fact drama.

5. What kind(s) of candy are you giving out for Halloween this year?
Dove Dark Chocolate pieces (my favorite and I'm hoping the kids will not want it.) and some other stuff my wife bought.

6. What was the last concert you attended?

Serena said...

Is that a question for Miss, Charles?

Is tomorrow the Question Day?

Serena said...

It is, and I just received a dynamite question from TC. It might, in fact, keep me up all night trying to do it justice.

5. What kind(s) of candy are you giving out for Halloween this year?
None..I hate kids!lol not really but my dog is so hyper he barks like crazy when they come to the door so about 5 years ago we started turning off the light.

1. Have you ever been the victim of a crime?
Far too many times.

2. Do you like rainy days?
Yes, but only if I don't have to work.

3. Have any of your writings ever been published?
I am not a writer.

4. Does too much drama in your life make you crazy?
I avoid drama at all costs. There are enough problems in my life without adding someone else's s**t to it.

5. What kind(s) of candy are you giving out for Halloween this year?
Everything under the sun!

6. What was the last concert you attended?
It's been so long since I've been to a live performance that I actually can't recall the last one I went to.

puerileuwaite said...

1) Sure. I was sexually harrassed by Britney Spears, though at the time, it didn't have the stigma that it does today.

2) Yes, but not rainy nights (not since I learned that Eddie Rabbit loves 'em).

3) Yes, one of my works, entitled "The Pug and the Cleaning Lady" was once published in the forum section of a major men's magazine.

4) I'm onto your little trick question, lady. It's like asking if I've stopped pleasuring myself.

5) I'm handing out those little packs of Listerine Breath Strips, because they LOOK like candy packages, and Lord knows most everyone could use some anyway.

6) The Concert for Bangladesh. I was much skinnier and tanned back then, so I knew I could blend in with the honorees. But then I got yelled at a lot, with drunks shouting that I should move to a better location.

Your #2 makes perfect sense to me, TC. Congrats on #3 (LOL), and I don't blame you on #5. I hope you get your Genesis CD soon.:)

Don't worry, it won't take Miss all night to figure something out.:-)

Let me sleep on it, Charles, and give you an answer in the morning.:)

Hey, NYD! Where the heck have you been? It's good to see you. So sorry about your #1. Wow, it looks like everybody has answered yes to that one. I hear you on #4, and re #5, I wish I was trick or treating at your house.:)

I feel your pain on #1, Puggy. I'd be stigmatized, too. So sorry to have tricked you with #4. So -- have you? #5 makes perfect sense to me, and I can see why you were misunderstood at #6.:-)

2. Do you like rainy days? Am I waterproof?
3. Have any of your writings ever been published? Does a calendar count?
4. Does too much drama in your life make you crazy? It just never stops, so either I'm already crazy or have a high tolerance.
5. What kind(s) of candy are you giving out for Halloween this year? Whatever is on sale at the last minute.
6. What was the last concert you attended? Some dealio in Tennessee.Forgot the bands name now.

Serena said...

Trée, #1, my God, how awful! Love your answer to #2. Re #4, perhaps the world would be a better place if we could keep all the drama queens drunk.:)

#2, CD, I guess I must be waterproof, because I sure do love them. Re #3, sure it counts. Boy, ain't #4 the truth? I guess the tolerance threshold is everything.:)

1. Have you ever been the victim of a crime? Yes. I've been robbed, burgled, car stolen and been the victim of a very very violent sexual assault.

I never received justice on any of these. I do wonder for whom the criminal justice system does work.

2. Do you like rainy days?
There are too many in London to make them anything special. I feel lethargic when its rainy.

3. Have any of your writings ever been published? Yes, I have written articles on drug rape and they've been published.

4. Does too much drama in your life make you crazy?
Is there any level of 'just right' drama? Any drama is too much drama.

5. What kind(s) of candy are you giving out for Halloween this year?
We don't 'do' halloween in London.

6. What was the last concert you attended?
I don't recal! Its been too long, obviously. But I find already that when I go to bars, I can't hear people talking, so I guess I'd find concerts 'too loud' now.

1. Have you ever been the victim of a crime?
Yes--someone stole our credit card number and started charging things on the internet.

2. Do you like rainy days?
Yes, although I'd rather spend them inside with a good book than try to fight my way to work in them.

3. Have any of your writings ever been published?
Yes, I had a poem published in an obscure music magazine years ago.

4. Does too much drama in your life make you crazy?
Yes, I'm not a fan of drama. I think of the drama-junkies as kind of their own sub-species. They feed on this kind of nonsense but it just bugs the crap out of me.

5. What kind(s) of candy are you giving out for Halloween this year?
Mixed mini chocolate bars and gummy body parts. Yes, serious about the last one.

6. What was the last concert you attended?
Big-Head Todd and the Monsters, when I was pregnant with Hell Boy in 2003.

Serena said...

Pink, I'm so sorry that happened to you, honey. And sorry that the justice system failed you. I applaud you for having the courage to write about your experiences. {{{HUGS}}}

I know what you mean about rainy days and lethargy. This is the 3rd one in a row here, and I'm definitely feeling off my feed.

Spectacularly awesome definitions, Miss Greeny. Yay! I hear you on the drama issue. A little bit can be fun to play with, but overdoses are intolerable. Some people just don't know when to quit.
