Miss Begotten is one of my pet names for myself, for Southern Gothic reasons best kept to myself. Miss Begotten tries to speak plainly, but sometimes she tends to babble -- parenthetically, of course. Serena's Twisted Chapel
I know I can always use a little Sunday morning pep talk. I expect you can, too. Rev. Bob will either energize you or make you barf. Let me know which. Or not. Happy Sunday!
Considering that we quote from it even today, (well I do once in a while(what 52 years later?(I'm not even that old))) the story and concepts were quite advanced. That its a warning to us about those things we must consider to survive as a species, is especially good today. Its likely time for a remake to appeal to the next generation.

Love the irreverent Rev. Bob.
"Gort! Klaatu barada nikto!"
Be still my Earth.
What makes me think this isn't really from June 8th, 1992?
The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008)
Wow, who'da thunkit? With your favorite Keanu Reeves as Klaatu.
You just don't know with the Rev. Bob, Charles, what year it is or even what planet it is.
I think I'd heard something about the movie remake but had forgotten about it. Could prove to be interesting. Or maybe not.:)
