Scooby-Dooby-Doo

No, I haven't taken up scat singing. I just want to know how long it has been since you watched Saturday morning cartoons. Seriously! I want you to answer the question.

* 40 years
* 30 years
* 10 years
* 6 months
* Last Saturday

Regardless of how long it's been, today you're getting ... Saturday morning cartoons. Make like you're a kid and just enjoy it.

Cool beans, Roxan & Charles. Your answers, of course, beg the question -- which cartoons do you watch?

A few weeks ago, probably. I don't recognize what I was watching...something my kids found. I was mainly in there to keep them from watching TV alone.

I did, however, watch a Scooby Doo movie with Evil Genius just last night.

I watched Jimmy Neutron. Daughter was watching it too.

You watched Scooby-Doo last night, Greeny? Wow, is this deja vu and great minds thinking alike or what?:-)

I know the name Jimmy Neutron, Roxan, but I'm not sure I've ever seen it.

This morning I watched 'Fairly oddparents' with my room mate's son.
I'm also a huge Spongebob fan!

Hey, I like Spongebob, too, Sling.:-)

I think Spongebob is great, too.

No cartoons, but we did bike up to see Stardust today, so I got my fantasy action fill. On the way to the theatre, I saw some graffiti that said, "Stiff Bob Starch Pants."

LOL, Greeny. Yay, Spongebob!:)

Fantasy action -- sounds like a great way to spend a Saturday, Camille. And what cute graffiti that was.:)

I like Tom and Jerry, the old version, but I can't tell you when I watched the toons last. That clip was pretty good.

Unfortunately, I can't remember the last time I watched a Saturday Morning cartoon. Must have been 30+ years.

I loved Scooby Doo. I had the hots for Daphne, but didn't discount Velma, as she seemed like she would be more "desperate" and therefore eager to please. Besides, Velma was smart, so I imagine she could be inventive in a naked hideout situation. Finally, she wasn't easily repulsed, which is another big check on the plus side.

Unfortunately Scooby Doo lost all credibility with yours truly when S(Crappy) Doo arrived on the scene. Subtraction by addition, I'm afraid.

The 80's was a bleak time in the Pug household, cartoon-wise.

But the 90's was a time of revival when "Eek! The Cat" arrived on the horizon. It was the best damned cartoon EVER in the (comedy) category. If you don't recall it, you can check out Eek! cartoons on YouTube.

Ever since Eek! left the airwaves, I have yet to find anything tolerable.

Other notables: Quick Draw McGraw / El Kabong, the Pink Panther (I later hired a guy who LOOKED like the human version), Dudley Do-Right, Under Dog, Sherman & Peabody, Bullwinkle, and many others.

Woo-hoo, Puggy, it's a walk down Nostalgia Lane. I don't know about your case of the hots for Daphne & Velma; I ain't going there. But I SO agree that Scrappy sucked and the cat rocked.

I loved Under Dog! Mighty Mouse, too.:-)

I still kinda watch them with the chilis on saturday mornings when we don't have to be somewhere... I make pancakes or french toast and some bacon for us and then i usually catch up on blogs while they have the tv on. We all like Jane and the Dragon best--since it's a fantasy based show, but my daughter also loves Ninja Turtles and Xiaolin(sp) Showdown.

I remember Saturday morning breakfasts in front of the tube with the chili. Those were good times. Enjoy them while yours are still little.:)
