My, My, My, Delilah

If it's Saturday, it must be music day. I love this song, and not just because I love the name Delilah -- which I'd love to have for myself. I have to confess that I'm old enough to like the old Tom Jones "Delilah," too.

i just can't get over what she did to Samson. But with a little more time, perhaps it will pass.

That's a much nicer song that the Tom Jones song. I've enjoyed it many times on the radio, but this is the first time I've seen the video. Nice choice.

Charles is insane. Who has ever thrown their panties to this ditty?

Tom rocks!

And Pugsy is just a bitter bad dog

Rock on Serena!

I like the name Jezebel, actually...there are lots of issues to get over with that one, as well. But should I ever wish to change my identity...

I had no Idea there was a version other than Tom Jones'!...I'm so old.

In the South and Midwest, there is a nightly radio program whose host is named Delilah. The show is like audio ipecac.

Yeah, hair grows back, Puggy. At least she didn't Bobbitt him.

Thank you, Charles. It's a nice song, but I still like the old Delilah.:)

Pinks, did you throw Tom your drawers? LOL. Pugsy just needs a little discipline.:-)

I love the name Jezebel, too, Greeny, and not just because I've been called "a" Jezebel. LOL. Someday I might change my name to Delilah Jezebel something-or-other.:)

Poor Sling, a member of my Codgers Club. LOL.

T, isn't ipecac that stuff that induces vomiting? I'd say that particular Delilah needs a different format.:-)

Sing it, G-man! I love it when they sing to me. Do NOT shut up or I might have to hurt you.:)

I'm not a Tom Jones fan, but I di like the song Delilah. I remember another song with a girl's name I liked too - Elvira by the Oak Ridge Boys.

"My, my, my Serena" - wtg Gman, I like how you think.

Interesting - "Elvira" has the same amount of syllables too.

I wonder how many more songs your name can be substituted for with the same amount of syllables...

Maggie May?

--Wake up Serena, I think I have something to say to you...

Carrie Ann?

Hey Serena ...you played the monitor, I played the janitor..

Somebody stop me - LOL! Wait. It's Gman's fault - he inspired it.

I'm thinking of some appropriate punishment, G. Trouble is, I'm having a hard time thinking up something you won't actually like. LOL. Your best bet is to just keep on singing.:-)

Hell, no, I'm not stopping you, Mike. That's way too much fun. You've got the beginnings of a great play list going on. Carry on!:-)

Me used to only date girls whose first names were used in song titles. Fist there were Lucy, then Eileen. Of course Me had to date Brandy. Me got The Vixen confused with Venus and ended up with Bitch.

STOMP.

Serena said...

Oh, man, Scary, don't you hate when that happens? :-)

(Gads, I don't know the Tom Jones version!)

Glad you like the song, Mona and Snow. 'Hey There Delilah' is a completely new and different song from the old Tom Jones song, 'Delilah.' I like them both.

MXI, you're coming off sabbatical? Good! Your peeps await. CY I was and CY I is. I'll be keeping an eye out for your return to blogdom.:)

The reports of my death were greatly...well you know.
It's good to see that you are still knocking people upside the head with your posts. I did some travelling through your backlinks both here and at 'Tendancies' and I just got to say that you have made me laugh harder than I have in a very, very long time.
You are priceless!

I actually like this one despite its emo-ness. And dammit The Boy saw the pink duck again.

Serena said...

Hey, NYD! I'm so glad the reports were exaggerated and you're not ... you know. If I can provoke a giggle a day, that makes me happy. Thanks!:-)

It is a little emo, Seeley, but what the heck, I like it, too. Pink Duck loves to see The Boy.:)

Lee said...

No! No! No! I can't stand Tom Jones! Oh! Oh! Oh!

Serena said...

Something tells me you don't like Tom Jones, Lee. LOL. I did like that old song, though.:)
