Miss Begotten is one of my pet names for myself, for Southern Gothic reasons best kept to myself. Miss Begotten tries to speak plainly, but sometimes she tends to babble -- parenthetically, of course. It's never my intention to offend (and usually that's true - except on those [maybe not so] rare occasions when I mean it very friggin' much) but it sometimes happens, so if you're unusually easily offended...

Bring It
Thanksgiving break is over, and Thanksgiving dinner was divine. My compliments to the chef. And now my place is decorated for Christmas, complete with three pretty (if I do say so myself) little lighted trees. With presents! I do love festive sparkle and glitter. And presents!
And now it's back to work. The thought doesn't please me, but it does pay the bills. There's a lot to be said for that. Whatever is on my desk, I'll either do or I won't. Bring it on.
With the exception of two gift cards, my Christmas shopping is finished. Yay! Now I need to remember to get stuff ready for shipping in time.
Y'all have a good (and festive!) Monday.

Happy Monday, SJ! I'm glad you had a good holiday. I got me a PINK princess Christmas tree this year. It's small, but oh, so Princessy and I put, what else, dragonflies on it. LOL!
I got really smart this year and had all my out of town gifts shipped straight to the grandkids' parents with this note: WRAP THESE! LOL! I'm learning!! Don't work too hard on this cyber-Monday.
Love & Blessings,
Marion
And a happy Monday to you, Miss Marion. Your princessly pink tree sounds adorable! I'm dying to see a picture. That WAS a smart idea, shipping straight to the parents with a note. Makes things much easier, doesn't it?:)
THREE Trees?
Sherry, do you own stock in the utility company?
I'm glad you had a good week-end.
Well, you know, they're LITTLE trees, so the power company won't be very impressed with me. I did have a nice, relaxing weekend. Hope yours was good, too.;)
Ha...I wrote to the North Pole, confessed I haven't been good, and told them to let Santa know I don't have a coal-fired heating system, so they have one less stop to make. In the age of increased government regulation across a wide range of private enterprise activities, this was gratefully appreciated ;-)
Well, that's all well and good, Skunk, but I hope you informed Santa of some other point of entry at your place. You want your presents, don't you?!:)
I just wanted to remind you not to use Yemen as your return address this year. I don't want those nude self-portraits rendered in macaroni to wind up in the wrong hands, er, paws this time around.
Not to worry, cutie-pup. I'm using Dubai this year, and trying falafel for the portraits.;)
