Miss Begotten is one of my pet names for myself, for Southern Gothic reasons best kept to myself. Miss Begotten tries to speak plainly, but sometimes she tends to babble -- parenthetically, of course. It's never my intention to offend (and usually that's true - except on those [maybe not so] rare occasions when I mean it very friggin' much) but it sometimes happens, so if you're unusually easily offended...

The Buzz
It's been hot as hell and I've been besieged with ... bees. There's a nest in one of my vents and they've been getting into my apartment. They're either yellow jackets or hornets; I don't know one from the other. I've been running around armed with a can of bug spray and the vacuum cleaner. The landlord came yesterday, supposedly to do something, but he ended up doing nothing other than telling me the bees are less active after sunset and he may need to call an exterminator. Maybe today we'll see some action -- unless he's too chicken to declare war on bees. While he was here, he pulled off half of my kitchen faucet to replace it, but needed some tool he didn't have to finish the job. He should have sent the maintenance guy who could have done it in ten minutes. Anyway, I had no water in the kitchen last night. That wasn't fun.
Work's been hectic. Last week flew by in a total blur. Yesterday started this week off much the same. Although I work part-time, I've been put on salary. I'm not so sure that's going to be to my advantage. We'll see.
The hillbilly goobers across the hall just keep on keeping on. Dogs above 20 pounds aren't allowed; they now have a Siberian Husky pup. Satellite dishes aren't allowed; Saturday, they had one installed. And so it goes.
There's a full moon Thursday night. I haven't felt anything untoward -- yet. But the week is young. The needle on my cranky meter hasn't started rising -- yet. Again, the week is still young. Hopefully, I have the immunity idol this month.
And that's the buzz from here. What's going on where you are?

The key is to think like a bee and also become less active after sunset. This includes pollination, so don't get any funny ideas.
So, Pugsley, if I think like a bee, that means I get to sting with impunity, right? Um, I already have some pretty funny ideas about pollination.;)
Funny HA HA?
Or Funny Peculier?
Why, G, that would depend entirely upon one's perspective, my dear!;)
So demure Miss Begotten....
Classy, Coy, and Cute... :-)
Why, thank you very much, Mr. Knowitall.;)
