Miss Begotten is one of my pet names for myself, for Southern Gothic reasons best kept to myself. Miss Begotten tries to speak plainly, but sometimes she tends to babble -- parenthetically, of course. It's never my intention to offend (and usually that's true - except on those [maybe not so] rare occasions when I mean it very friggin' much) but it sometimes happens, so if you're unusually easily offended...

It's Not Always Good To Be Queen
Work went just fine yesterday. It was Monday, which meant it was crazy, of course, but it didn't affect me too much. There wasn't a lot of work piled up waiting on me, but I did have a lot of reviewing to do, checking files coming up for hearing soon to make sure all the evidence is in and everything is done. It didn't require a lot of energy, either physical or mental. All in all, it was good getting back into normal routines. I had some pain last night, but nothing I couldn't deal with; i.e., didn't make me cry or pout or stomp my feet. Of course, I guess stomping my feet would be a really bad idea just now. Which is too bad, because I like doing that from time to time.
You know what has me shaking my head? It hasn't rained much the entire time I was off from work; just a shower here and there. Sunday afternoon it started raining, and it was humid and damp Monday morning, rained periodically during the day, and is forecast to remain about the same all week. Consequently, my hair looked like hell yesterday. With this weather forecast, I suspect I'm looking at barrettes, ponytails, buns -- anything to keep me from looking like the Queen of Bad Hair this week. Always expect the unexpected. Why didn't I expect it?
You guys have a great Tuesday, and I promise and pinkie swear I'm going to make my rounds and visit you this evening. I know I've been a slacker about that, and I apologize.

Sherry....
You hair on it's WORST day possible, is gorgeous!!!
I vote for the ponytail, along with a cheerleader outfit.
Why, thank you very much, Galen. You wouldn't say that, though, if you saw my hair in the midst of all this rain and humidity.:-)
I can do the ponytail, and probably will tomorrow, Pugsley. I'll have to see what's in my closet that might be cheer-worthy, though.:)
Bad hare day? Shoot and stew the waskal. That'll settle that ;)
I'd LOVE to see a Rain-Soaked Red Head!!!!!
And I got one in mind...!
Well, I don't know, Skunk. What kind of wine goes with hare?;)
Not THIS one, Galen. Trust me on this. She looked like a drowned rat when she got in from walking the dog tonight, and smelled suspiciously of Eau de Wet Dog.:)
DON'T STOMP!!!
The skies finally opened yesterday here, late in the afternoon. A good, good soaking, complete with thunderboomers.
quid
No, I won't stomp, Lynne. I know how much it would hurt. I know YOU must feel like stomping right now, and I'm right here cheering you on. Let me know if you need any Serena Voodoo on any of those jackasses.:)
