Slightly Sluggish

Yeah, I'm a slug -- when it comes to blogging.  Hopefully, I won't start looking like a slug any time soon.  Surely I haven't already said everything I have to say.  It just seems any more that blogging is so far down on the "to do" list that I'm not getting to it these days.  But ... one of these days.

Here's one of the things keeping me busy lately:

This is Miss Pixie-Rue lounging in her new bed, wearing her new sweater.  She just loves this bed, which is called a "Pet Cave."  It has a Sherpa-like lining, which is really warm, and the zip-on top creates a cave-like effect.  She loves crawling up in there and napping -- or lounging, or just holding court.  She'll stay in there all evening, which does not preclude her from getting in bed with me at bedtime.  She's definitely a mama's girl and won't sleep at night anywhere but with me.

Work's really busy right now.  I haven't worked much with injury cases in the past, but I'm learning fast.  I've gotten two bonuses from settlements so far, too, so I have absolutely no complaint.  The boss got one of those brand-new-on-the-market Microsoft tablets today and, I swear, he's like a kid with a new toy at Christmas.  It's pretty cool, and you can do a lot with it, but I don't think I want one.  Call me a dinosaur, but I much prefer my plain old laptop.  And I guess I'll be keeping it forever because I am not going to buy any new product with Windows 8 on it.

Hi Serena, it's always nice to "see" so please don't give up blogging! (That's an order, by the way)! ;)

A friend of mine has herself a tablet, too, plus a Kindle and she's like a kid with a new, favourite toy. I doubt very much that I'll be getting one anytime soon, too...and I doubt very much that I'll ever get a Kindle or similar...I like my real books far too much.

Give little Miss Pixie-Rue a hug for me...that's a cosy little bed she has there!

Hi, Lee. I love my books, too, but I have to confess, I also like my Kindle very much. I can buy a new book in an instant, and I'm not constantly hunting for shelf space to store them. Miss Pixie-Rue says thanks for the hug, and she does indeed enjoy her cosy little bed.:)

I still operate with a desk top PC. When I finally caved in on the cell phone, it's a basic 'flip' phone, not a 'droid, iphone or whatever the things are called. I'm even more of a technosaur than you are ;-)

Well, I do have to confess, Skunk, that I'm hooked on my smartphone. Still a dedicated technosaur, though, when it comes to tablets and Windows 8 junk.:)

Serena, I've been a blogger slacker too. I wish I could say it's because I've been lounging in my giant-sized pet bed. Hee hee! But it's not. I've just been otherwise distracted. My kids have windows 8 laptops and while its okay for "home users" I would NOT want to work on one at work--or teach anyone at work how to use one either.
I'm glad you're still here!
hugs to you and Pixie-Rue,

Hey, it's so good to "see" my favorite little snowelf! Love the new hairdo! I'm glad to hear I'm not alone in disliking Windows 8 and that someone in the know recommends against it. My boss, alas, loves it, so I guess it's in the office to stay.:)
