New Addition

I've been away from the blog for a while. This, that, and the other, not to mention work -- and keeping the wolf away from the door -- has kept me busy. There's always "stuff" going on. You know what I mean? Plus, there's the "nothing much to say" factor, and the "laziness" factor. Once you miss writing something for a few days, the few days has a tendency to stretch into many days. And weeks. And so on and so on.

Well. In any event, I have a new little family member. Yep, I adopted the little girl up top two weeks ago. As you can see, she's a Chihuahua. She's 5 years old, and a very well behaved little pup. Smart, too.  She understands pretty much everything she needs to, such as sit, stay, bed, walk, and ... eat.

She's a tiny little thing, weighing in at 4 pounds.  She knows how to work "cute," though, and rules the roost around here.  Within reason, of course.

She's lying in her bed here, using a hand towel for a blanket.

And this is her out on the patio, sitting on her pee-pee pad.  She knows what the pads are for, and uses them between outdoor walks if she needs to.

She's a great little family member, sweet and personable ... and eaten up with cute.  I'm really glad to have her.

It's so good to see you back! I missed you. What a cutie-pie little puppy. (I have a cat that weighs 25 lbs. LOL!) My daughter Sarah (she of the cat allergies and "no pets ever") broke down and bought Mary Mace & Warner a Havanese puppy and they're all in love with him. His name is Sonny. They're so anal, they taught him to ring a bell by the back door when he wants to go out to pee. I swear to God. I told her she should have named him Pavlov.

Enjoy your new baby and don't stay gone so long!! xo

I reiterate...it's great to have you back!

What a little heart-breaker. Pets are so special and play a huge part in our lives. I'd be lost without my two furry, four-legged rascals...they're very spoiled, and they play on it! They boss me around! I don't stand a chance...after all...I'm just a mere human! :)

Take care...and not so long between drinks next time...okay?? :)

Hey, dahling Marion, I've missed you, too. Oh, my gosh, I wish I could teach Miss Cutie-Pie to ring a bell. Wouldn't that be something?:-) I have a friend who has a Havanese, and they are just the sweetest little things. I'll bet those kids are just over the moon with their little Sonny.

Hey, Lee, my friend! Now that I've finally gotten off my duff and posted something, I'll try to not take such long absences in the future. Of course, your furry rascals boss you around -- you're their person, and they know it. And we, of course, just love that.:-)

Hi, Galen. Yes, she is a sweet little girl. And such a little clown that she keeps me laughing.:-)

Hi, cute puppy. Would you please consider adding an intro to my website on your next post? I will return the favor. Please email me back. Thanks!

Good to see you and what a cute cute little dog.

I've been doing the same thing with writing. Just being kinda lazy and forgetful.

Let's both try to keep it going.

Hugs. Quid

Thank you, Randy. About the proposed intro, I haven't had a chance yet to view your site so I'll have to get back to you on that.

Hey, Quid, and hugs back at 'ya. My puppy thanks you for the compliment. She thinks she's pretty cute, too.:) I am going to try to keep it going. Alas, I had something I meant to post this week but never did get to it. I will, though!

I like dawgs, but yours needs booster shots, don't she? ;-)

Well, yeah, Skunk, she's little. Spunky little thing, though! But shoot, I bet she's bigger than Seymour.:-)

I'll bet she thinks she's large and in charge too. The smaller to dog, the bigger the personality.

She does indeed, VE. I have to ride herd on her to keep her from becoming a tiny tyrant.:)
