Miss Begotten is one of my pet names for myself, for Southern Gothic reasons best kept to myself. Miss Begotten tries to speak plainly, but sometimes she tends to babble -- parenthetically, of course. It's never my intention to offend (and usually that's true - except on those [maybe not so] rare occasions when I mean it very friggin' much) but it sometimes happens, so if you're unusually easily offended...

Not Again!
As I sit here writing this on Monday night, I have no idea whether I'm going to work in the A.M. I'm not contemplating deliberately playing hooky, mind you. Nope, we're due to get walloped with weather again early in the morning -- snow and/or sleet and/or freezing rain. Now, if it starts on time -- 4:00 to 6:00 A.M. -- there's no question I'll be staying home. I do not and will not drive on ice, and I've let that be known loud and clear. If, however, it holds off 'til after I'm due at work, then I'm going to be up a creek. Certainly, I'll grab my stuff and leave after it starts, but ... I'm going to be driving on ice. Not a pleasant proposition.
A Terrific Tuesday to YOU!

You need to live in the South...
Wait, don't you already live in the South?
Farther South...:P
If this keeps up you're going to have to invest in a nice set of SNOW tires. Sheesh! All we ever get is rain with a few pieces of sleet now and again. Come on down to swamp country and live. Stay warm! Blessings!! (My daughter in Chattanooga has had about 5 snow days so far this year!)
we like the celtic women! great music! you should think about texas....great place!
Wintry Beauty has a price My Lovely!
I thought I lived in the South, Galen -- but as you know, I am geographically challenged. Maybe I had the movers plop me down in the middle of Minnesota and didn't even realize it.:)
Clean out the spare bedroom, Marion, and make sure Ray has his pants on. I'm a'coming! I can by God learn to live with swamp critters to escape this godforsaken snow and ice.:)
I would consider Texas, Don, except for one thing -- you get SNOW there on occasion! I'm thinking Caribbean, or maybe the South Pacific. Glad you enjoyed the music. Aren't they some delightful ladies?:)
I know it does, Galen -- and it's too high for me. Somebody stop me before I sign up to become a Somali pirate. Those guys never look cold.:)
After reading your post, the local yetis took a vote, and they are migrating east...they're tired of this 45-50 degree stuff here, and all of our weather where you are.
They like kibbles, left on the patio, and hate any music by Slim Whitman. Just sayin'...
Your Yetis would love it at my place, Skunk. Slim Whitman is banned and there's only one wee dog to fight for the kibble.:)
And did you stay home?
quid
It didn't start 'til after I got there, Quid, so it was a bit less than half a day.:)
