Miss Begotten is one of my pet names for myself, for Southern Gothic reasons best kept to myself. Miss Begotten tries to speak plainly, but sometimes she tends to babble -- parenthetically, of course. It's never my intention to offend (and usually that's true - except on those [maybe not so] rare occasions when I mean it very friggin' much) but it sometimes happens, so if you're unusually easily offended...

Mysterious Monday
As I'm writing this on Sunday night, I'm thinking God only knows what I'll walk into at work on Monday morning. I say that because shortly before I left work on Thursday (I don't work Fridays), Boss Lady's moronic husband handed the new tenant half a torn piece of yellow paper on which he had written that they were invoking their right to waive 30 days' notice (I don't think there is any such right) and the tenant was evicted as of RIGHT NOW. His crime? He wanted a sign for his real estate business that would be visible from the road and had been waiting for a month for boss lady to return from her pseudo medical treatment to get her approval. Meanwhile, he'd already paid $2,000 to have said sign made. I saw it myself, and it was quite tasteful and there was nothing at all wrong with it. But noooo, said Boss Lady. It's HER building, and nobody's sign but hers will be on the premises, never mind that there's already another sign for an out-of-town law firm that pays her a stipend to let them use our conference room when they have a local client.
The poor tenant, who had spent several thousand dollars moving in, installing a phone system, etc., has now essentially been put out of business. He was going to see a lawyer Friday, and I suspect Boss Lady is about to get her big granny panties sued off her. Bring it on! Just don't shut her down before my divorce, filed last week, is final. I'm sorry, I've lost my very last speck of respect for Boss Lady. That happened earlier Thursday when I caught Skank Girl in the act of taking Boss Lady's online Continuing Legal Education seminar and registering the credit for her. Respect has to be earned, and this woman who epitomizes that which gives lawyers a bad name is way in the red in my book.
So, how was your weekend? We enjoyed a balmy 84 degrees here on Saturday, which was fabulous. It was only in the 60s yesterday, but it was still pretty nice. Have a wonderful Monday, and I'll fill you in tomorrow on the fall-out from today.

Everyday is Halloween at Chez Skank isn't it?
Endeavor to persevere Red....:-)
Boss lady has really bad KARMA! I hope her sign falls down. LOL! May the week be better than you thought it would be. Blessings!
Funny we had the same weather if you don't count that extra 30 degrees you had and the clouds under the sun we had...
Weather-wise, we're as diff as can be: yesterday, snow and cold. Today, 50. Tomorrow, 50. Tomorrow night, a new in-bound storm....
Work-wise, drama of our own going on. But I think, on a whole, I'll take our drama over yours.
Hang in there, Sherry!
It is for a fact, Galen. Now if only they'd hand out candy... Not to worry, I'm like that wild-eyed kitty, just hanging on.:-)
You are so right, Marion. Her karma's going to bite her in the butt so bad she'll need stitches.:)
Sounds COLD out there, VE. Yowzer.:)
I guess it's that time of year, Skunk. You just never know what the weather's going to do. As long as I don't get caught in the middle of it, I think all the drama is pretty funny.:)
