Miss Begotten is one of my pet names for myself, for Southern Gothic reasons best kept to myself. Miss Begotten tries to speak plainly, but sometimes she tends to babble -- parenthetically, of course. It's never my intention to offend (and usually that's true - except on those [maybe not so] rare occasions when I mean it very friggin' much) but it sometimes happens, so if you're unusually easily offended...

I like the sound of this band. You may have seen them on SNL Saturday night. I did, and it was the first time I'd heard them.
I survived the weekend's deep freeze. It's been a long time since I've had to deal with 3 and 4-degree temperatures -- with wind chill on top of that. I hope I don't have to do it again any time soon. With a little ingenuity and a few minor expenditures, I coped. But I wasn't happy about it. I am more than ready for the advent of spring. It arrived here fairly early last year, and I'm hoping it decides to grace us with its presence a bit prematurely again this year. I've just about had it with cold weather. I have enough to deal with without freezing my butt off, too.
Anyway, Happy Monday!
Here are a few Monday blasfomys from TWISTED LINGUISTICS for you. See what sense you can make of them.

A bit of a haunting tune,a little too folksy for me though...:-)
Why is it "their" konos?
These aren't that good, but then my brain hasn't thawed out yet...
dumd - describing the moronic character in a slasher movie who performs a stupid act that gets him/her killed. Such people aren't even smart enough to spell "doomed."
destionation - the act of destionating something.
apprently - sorry...
dysfuncional - fits the definition to a "t".
flexable - the beefcakes at the gym who spend all day posing in front of the mirrors to admire themselves.
wierd - we made a mistake.
It is quite folksy, Galen. In fact, a lot of their music that I listened to sounds a lot like Appalachian mountain music. I do like those haunting melodies, though.:)
I'm not sure, Pugsley, but my guess is that they're just a tad proprietary. I don't think they stole the konos, mind you, but once in their possession, they ain't giving 'em up.:)
You've apparently defrosted well enough, Bilbo. They're quite good. I found "dumd" especially apropos.:)
Big cyber hug on our last day of oppression!
I hate the cold too Serena...
Happy Monday to you too! :)
It's gonna feel kind of weird, Kan, having no more butt of jokes. I don't know what we're all going to do for comic relief. Although, there is the Illinois governor. He should be good for a few more laughs.:)
They should outlaw cold, Mona. Happy Monday to you!:)
I'm still basking in low 60s here...but you'll be laughing yet, when we hit a major snow storm and subzero weather (and we shall 'fore this winter's over).
I have no woid suggestions today, as my brain is frazzled from today's dearth of intelligence at woik...feel like I hit myself over the head with a duck wearing a *hit over the head* look...probably mallardjusted or something...
LOL, Skunk. I resembled that duck yesterday. 60s. Oh, my. I am so guilty of envy.:)
I must tell you more often how much I appreciate your humorous posts. Good stuff.
Fred
Thank you so much, Fred. I'm so glad you find it humorous.:)
