SJ's Saturday Jam
First, we're going to listen to this oldie but goodie. It does have a good beat and you can dance to it if you wish. I might, so don't be shy.
And then -- and then we're going to Bastardize some Bard. I know, it's been way too long! Your assignment today is to rewrite this short passage in modern vernacular. You need not limit yourself to three lines.
O, swear not by the moon, the inconstant moon,
That monthly changes in her circled orb,
Lest that thy love prove likewise variable.
- Romeo and Juliet (Juliet at II, ii)
I'll go first.
Oh, for heaven's sake, dude! Quit your sniveling and pay
Her no mind! She's not only in the throes of a massive
Case of PMS but there's also a full moon. Look up!
News flash -- she'll love you again in 48 hours. Buck up!
