Friday Thingonmyblog

What a week. Depending on where you are, you may have experienced earthquakes and, soon, will be experiencing a hurricane. I felt an earthquake the other day for the first time in my life. Based on my experience, I ain't doin' that no more. Unh-unh! By late today, I'll more than likely be getting rained on. It won't be anything like the rain approaching the coastal areas, though. My sister's smack-dab in Irene's path and, of course, she ain't leaving. All of you who are going to be affected by the hurricane, please be careful!

TGIF!

And now, go do today's quiz and see what you come up with. Some of my results are spot on, others not so much. I hate to admit it, and I hate this character defect in myself, but I do have my moments of superficiality. Sad, isn't it?

You Are Self-Sufficient

You have no patience with inefficiency. You hate to wait for anything.

You are bored by routine. You need some whimsy in your life to stay happy.

You tend to take control of situations easily, and in return, you get everyone's respect.

You don't have any room for fluff in your life. You abhor superficiality of all kinds.

I got the same result as you. Obviously, you and I prefer having a HOUSE attached to our lighthouse. LOL! I hope your hard-headed sister will be okay. Having been in 3 hurricanes, I know they're not to be messed with!! (Especially those with female names.) Happy TGIF! xo

I'm with you, enough with the earhquakes. Loved your little quiz. I think I got a more accurate result on my second pick. First one said I never get distracted. Rolling my eyes. I was supposed to start getting ready for this hurricane hours ago. Fun :)

Absolutely, Marion -- a house attached to my lighthouse is a must. I don't do well with lone towers. LOL. Sis went to spend the night at her daughter's, but her house is quite close to the Cape Fear River. Hopefully, they'll all be fine. Hope you had a terrific TGIF.

Damn straight those are true words, Mr. G. The words "wait" and "Serena" are not synonymous.:-)

Hope you got ready and don't get hit too badly by Ms. Irene, Nara. We're not expecting much from it here in my patch of the mountains. Maybe a little rain. We need a LOT of rain.:)

Females (and redheads in particular) often think they are experiencing an earthquake when I stroll by. I think it's partially due to them having their own built-in fault lines.

The news people didn't fool me, puppy. I knew all along it was you strolling by.;)

When political correctness dictated that hurricanes be gender-neutral, the feminine fury of the 'canes was upped a few categories.

So far, the worst natural disaster hereabouts occurs when I try to cook something in the kitchen...

I'm a purist when it comes to lighthouses...

You are a smart man, Skunk, to know that feminine fury is a force to be reckoned with.;-)

I like your results, Quid. Excellent! Everybody came through the storm fine. My niece still doesn't have power, but Sis does at her house.:)
