Shod by Satan

I wore these shoes yesterday. These shoes are Satanic. Pretty, but forged in Hell. Once I got them off last night, I suffered the tortures of the damned with miserable foot cramps. I'm not sure whether it was the round toes or the height of the heels. Theoretically, I should be sitting at a desk all day. That rarely happens, and I was on my feet constantly yesterday. It was not a day for high heels, and Satan had the last laugh.

I like these shoes. Why else would I have bought them? But they rub near-blisters on my instep and are virtually unwearable. I suppose I could put on Band-Aids before putting them on, but that would look kind of dumb.

I like these shoes, too, but rarely wear them. The heels are quite high, but that's not the problem. The problem is that they squeeze my toes in ways nature never intended. It hurts. Bad. So I just don't wear them much, which is a shame because I do like them.

These shoes feel just fine on my feet. They don't squeeze anything into spasms, rub anything raw, and the heels are neither too high nor too low. They're actually quite comfortable but ... they make my feet look big and they are, therefore, relegated to the seldom worn.

These shoes, I could wear all day and all night. They are sheer comfort and surely cobbled by angels. But they are ... flat, soft, and flexible. What does that say about me? Have I now reached that stage where I'll sacrifice style for comfort, Satanic torture devices for shoes that don't injure? Well ... yes!

You COULD have modeled them with your pretty Red Toes!

Trust me, Mr. G-man -- no woman who has just freed her feet from Satan's tortures is going to put them back on to model them.:-)
