She's AWOL

Woo-hoo, it's a snow day. We have several inches of snow on the ground and it's still coming down, so I'm not budging from my warm, cozy cave. It's cold outside! Wouldn't it be nice if someone sent me a shiny, sparkling bottle of something warm and spirited to imbibe? What fun! I think I'll watch for the UPS guy. Weirder things have happened.

I don't feel a bit bad about being AWOL from work today. We had practically no heat in there Tuesday when the temperature was in the teens and 20s and the wind was howling. Same yesterday, until the repair guy got there in the afternoon. Apparently, it can be switched to an "emergency heat" setting when it's bitter cold and the heat pump doesn't work so well. It's just too bad nobody had sense enough to do that. The temperature outside actually got up to about 34 yesterday, which felt WARM. I don't know if it was the cold or just a critical mass buildup of stuff, but I went off on my boss yesterday. I don't feel bad about that, either.

How do you guys react to people lying to you? Do you just take it and look the other way, or do you finally get sick of it and go off on them?

It bothers me when I find out that a female lied, just to use me for gratification. And then I find out that her version of gratification is radically different from mine. So I just take it and try to look the other way until she is done. Then I wait for the U.P.S. guy to deliver her apology and/or some roses. I suppose this makes me different. I'm a rebel, that way.

Baby, both genders play and get played with equal abandon. Their versions are generally radically different, too. I could bitch-slap her for you if you want. Thank God for UPS guys!;)
