Mother Nature's Witchy Ways

Last night was a bumpy ride in my neck of the woods. It was overcast all day, with dark, heavy clouds riding low in the sky. It was hot, though -- 76 degrees -- and muggy as hell. Every now and then, a ray of sunshine would peek through, even though a lot of dusk to dawn lights stayed on all day, making it look all the more surreal. The light was just ... strange. Kind of had me looking over my shoulder for zombies, if you want to know the truth. By 4:00 P.M. or so, the wind had kicked up and, by 6:00, the TV stations had storm warnings out -- which included tornado warnings for the entire viewing area until 3:00 A.M.

The storms finally came rolling in late last night, with wind and plenty of rain. And it rained all night, with enough fury at times to wake me up. Luckily, there weren't any tornados, but it was rough enough. It's still a little hit and miss dicey out there today -- hot, with some sporadic wind and rain, but the worst of it has moved on through.

Happy Hump Day!

We had the hot wind here early yesterday. It was knocking over my plants outside. We got rain this morning. If only the cold would follow! It's pure-dee SAUNA out there now...hot and steamy. Oh, the joys of living in the deep South. Trick or Treat!! LOL! Blessings!

PS: LOVE the song!

Oh, I know it, Marion -- Lord love the South's trick or treat weather. I wouldn't live anywhere else, though. And we are going to cool down Friday -- WAY down. I love that song, too. Thompson's cover is way superior to any of the others, IMO. Blessings -- and treats -- back at 'ya.:)

G, you don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows, but it can't hurt. Neither can plenty of dark chocolate.;)
