Hurry, Fall!

It's now officially Fall. And this year, for the first time in years, the autumnal equinox meets a full moon. It's being called the "super harvest moon." That suggests falling temperatures, a crisp nip in the air, sweaters, and blankets, don't you think? Ha! Not here. We're enduring record-breaking heat. It was 94 and humid yesterday and supposed to be even worse today. I'm itchy all over. I don't know if it's from the "bug" I've had since Saturday or from the heat. Maybe it's both. Whatever it is, I need it all gone. I have a lot going on over the next two weeks and no time for prickly heat. Or whatever.

So, anyway, it's Thursday -- and my last day of work this week. Yay! I'm taking the dog to the groomer's in the A.M. The poor little thing is way overdue, thanks to my being laid up for so long. You watch, as soon as I get her hair cut it'll turn cold. Ain't that always the way? Well, I'll buy her a little coat if I have to. I can't wait for Fall that feels like Fall to finally arrive. Hurry!

You all have a terrific Thursday and I'll catch you tomorrow. I'm remiss in visiting everyone again, I know, and I promise to make it up to you over the weekend.

Yes, it does, G. Which means that I'm going to have to get her a coat that matches mine -- and accessorize it.:-)

Thanks, /t., and TGIF to you, too! It's 95 today -- the hottest on this date since 1933. Ugh! It IS supposed to cool down over the weekend, though. Maybe then I can think about pumpkin pie.:)

That's exactly how I feel. I mean, it was cold at the beginning of summer (at least on the west coast), and now it's hot at the beginning of fall.
It's almost as if Nature forgot what season it was in... lol

We didn't really have much spring where I am on the East Coast,CBS. It went pretty much straight from being bitter cold to hot as all get-out. There's definitely something strange going on.:)
