The Week's Best E-Mail

First, is everybody experiencing the phenomenon of the vanishing comments? I get my comments via e-mail, so I know who's said what. When I've signed in to my blog to reply, however, they're not there. Or they're there one time, and invisible the next. What is up with that?!

I'm not getting my sutures out Friday as expected. The doctor's office called yesterday and rescheduled me to next Wednesday. The adjuster for the Workmans Comp carrier also called me yesterday and told me he'd let me know by Thursday if they're going to honor my claim. If they don't, I can guarantee all hell's going to break loose.

And now on to the week's best e-mail, this one sent to me a while back by Galen, because I know everybody could use a good laugh.

Happy Hump Day!

Senior Health Care Solution

So you're a senior citizen and the government says no health care for you, what do you do?

Our plan gives anyone 65 years or older a gun and 4 bullets. You are allowed to shoot 2 senators and 2 representatives. Of course, this means you will be sent to prison.

There you will get 3 meals a day, a roof over your head, and all the health care you need! New teeth, no problem. Need glasses, great. New hip, knees, kidney, lungs, heart? All covered.

And who will be paying for all of this? The same government that just told you that you are too old for health care. Plus, because you are a prisoner, you no longer have to pay income taxes.

IS THIS A GREAT COUNTRY OR WHAT?!

Well, I haven't had an injury in so long, Quid, I guess I had to do it up big-time. I wish it hadn't happened, but at least I seem to be mending fairly quickly and haven't had a lot of pain. The worst pain I had was while waiting to be seen in the ER. Hope things are going well for you!
