Fun With Twisted Linguistics

Happy Thursday! It's my last work day of the week and I am deliriously joyous about that. And I really, really hope something is making you happy today.

I have some truly delicious Words Gone Wild for you this week. These gems of blasfomy are just begging to be strung together to tell a story, so that's what you have to do. Turn them into little stories -- the funnier, the better -- and make my day. It'll be good for me, and you'll feel better for helping out a grumpy old lady.

Here's what you have to work with:

post mortum
eery
gotee
accures
worthly
nebotism
dilusions of gradeur
juridistiction

Sorry, lady. I'm too scarred by you skipping out on a full, honest workweek to churn out a story. I need some time to reflect.

post mortum: after having over-eaten, examining the extree tum bulge

eery: an elephant (and dems pretty friggin eery)

gotee: "dang, Earl, how far y'all think that tee thang's gonna fly h'yar?" "Prolly furtha than the danged ball, Cletus.."

accures: them fellers what play other folk, 'cuz they don' like themselves much

worthly: rhymes with "earthly", meaning absolutely nothing, but it did rhyme

nebotism: favoring a family bot over a manufactured one

dilusions of gradeur: what I had everytime I got my test back in junior high French...

juridistiction: how them whackjobs in the 9th ShortCircuit of Appeals adjudicate, after snorting crack BEFORE writing their opinions...

I haven't worked an honest workweek in years, Pugsley, but you still adore me, yes?:)

Well, then, I think you should, VE. I believe that's something the gnomes would enjoy.:-)
