99% Full Of It

I've been having an awful lot of headaches. I'm 99% sure they're stress-related. And I have to confess that I am responsible for the vast majority of my stress. I make impetuous, live-for-the-moment decisions. It's true. I do. Then I have to live with the consequences. And ... it makes my head hurt. I didn't, for example, have to take this stupid job. I could have investigated Boss Lady's reputation as an employer. If I had, I'd have given her a resounding "No, thank you!" But I was annoyed with my former boss and wanted to show him that I could get the hell out of Dodge in a New York minute. And ... here I am, stuck in a sucky economy in the job from hell with no immediate way out. And I have headaches. Oh, for a lot more reasons than an unsatisfactory job, but still stress of my own devise for the most part. When will I ever learn? My God, I'm already old and I suspect there's a time limit on these matters.

Moving on, I was so saddened to hear yesterday of actress Dixie Carter's death. I loved "Designing Women" during its run, and Dixie as Julia Sugarbaker was my favorite character on the show. Julia was the quintessential steel magnolia, and I just loved her.

No, not all. And I do have a knack for landing on my feet. As for the next job, time will tell. Il n'y a pas de quoi.

Oh! You speak Portugese too! <3

Thanks for the clip (love that jury room scene!). It reminded me how Dixie Carter was so smokin' hot. I do declare. It's givin' me the vapors! I need to rest a spell with a mint julip, my favorite redhead and a porch swing.

Well, you never know when a Portugese pug might amble by, Pugsley. I'm fixing you a Mint Julep and saving you a seat on the porch swing -- just the thing for those ol' vapors.;)
