A Little Rum and A Little L'Oreal

myspace graphics

I swear, if I liked the taste of liquor a little better, I'd be tempted to take up serious drinking. I do know there are ways to it dress it up with fruit and stuff. Stick a little umbrella in it, and it should be good to go. I know I can make a Mai-Tai, and I'm thinking I might make a couple. Apparently, Boss Lady is getting ready to sell everything, retire, and relocate. Problem is, she's told a lot of the clients, she's told a couple of lawyers she's tried to sell her practice to, and she told Skank Girl yesterday -- by letter -- but she hasn't told ME or her other two employees anything at all. What, is she planning to wait 'til the last minute and set us out on the curb with the trash? I think not! I might seriously have to go to work at Wal-Mart (God help me!), but I will beat the frumpy old harridan at her own game and beat her to the punch.

I'm going to let you guys in on a little secret: I've had an itch lately to go blonde. I don't know why, because I've been a redhead all my life and redheads do manage to have their fun. I just have this urge to try it and see what it looks like. I probably shouldn't crack open the rum when I do it, huh? I could end up with pink and yellow dreadlocks. Oh, geez, maybe now the full moon is hitting me. It'll pass. I think.

It's supposed to snow tonight. I am SO tired of snow forecasts. I am in desperate need of a little Spring Fever. Everything, no matter how bad it is, just looks better in the Spring. Maybe I'll be blonde in the Spring. Maybe I'll be unemployed. Who knows? At least I'll be warm! And there's an upside to unemployment: no torture from Boss Lady and no overwhelming urges to slap Skank Girl.

Y'all have a terrific Tuesday!

Don't knock Walmart. They are a good company to work for. Even part time employees are eligible for benefits and they do have a good 401k.

First, good luck beating the hold hag at her own game. I do not miss working for satan, I mean, lawyers.

Secondly, go blonde! The only reason I haven't done it is because my sister did and I don't want her to think I'm copying her. LOL! I color my roots medium brown and then this fire engine red stuff I get at Hot Topics in the mall. It's vivid red. (You should check that store out...they even have blue, green and purple hair color!) I may do purple and red streaks next month. Good luck on the job hunt. Blessings!!

Sorry. I'm too upset over you even considering not being a redhead anymore to comment. I'm going to need some time to myself ...

Get out there and get yourself a new job and give the old harridan your notice before she advises you of her plans...beat her at her own game...and smile while you're doing it!

Well, I might be finding out about that, Roxan.:)

What about maroon, Galen? Or blue? Still yummy? Remains to be seen, I'd say.:)

One of these days, I'll probably do it, Marion. I never rule anything out. I'll out-maneuver that old hag, too. You can bet on it.:)

You may remain visible, Pugsley. My head is safe from L'Oreal. For now.;)

That's definitely my plan, Lee. Now, if only the sucky economy and suckier job market here in the U.S. will cooperate...:)
