Back to the Salt Mine
I spent from Wednesday evening 'til Saturday reading Stephen King's new book, "Under the Dome." I gave up on King years ago because I just wasn't feeling the thrill any more. But I have to hand it to him, he's definitely got his mojo back. This book is a true tour de force. It's very long, at over 1000 pages, but it grabbed me from the very beginning and kept me enthralled to the last page.
I also gave my place a long overdue cleaning over the weekend, and went shopping. By doing a little bit here and a little bit there, I'm happy to say my holiday shopping is almost done. Now if I can just get those gifts that have to be shipped wrapped, packaged, and to the Post Office in time to beat the rush, I'll be in good shape.
I had a bit of a scare Saturday evening when I was accosted by a strange man while walking my dog. I think it might behoove me to look into buying some pepper spray.
I just wish I could pepper spray the very determined Anonymous who keeps spamming me with "comments." I'm not the least bit interested in his/her spurious links, and I'd certainly never click on one. God only knows what kind of chaos that might unleash on my computer. Since he/she doesn't seem to possess any listening skills, having failed to heed my wishes that he/she cease and desist, I've reported his IP number to his/her ISP. Perhaps one day soon, the jerkoff will find him- or herself sans access to the Internet. Yay!
I don't expect any sudden sanity around the ol' salt mine today, but that's okay -- it's a short week and I can take anything they can dish out.
Y'all have a Marvelous Monday!
