Miss Begotten is one of my pet names for myself, for Southern Gothic reasons best kept to myself. Miss Begotten tries to speak plainly, but sometimes she tends to babble -- parenthetically, of course. It's never my intention to offend (and usually that's true - except on those [maybe not so] rare occasions when I mean it very friggin' much) but it sometimes happens, so if you're unusually easily offended...

Blah-Blah Monday Blogging
The time changed over the weekend. We're now on Daylight Saving Time until, what, October? By the time my inner clock finally acclimates to the change, yep, it'll be time to change again. When I showed up for work (I hate this place!) this morning, the clock said it was 9:00 A.M. but my body wasn't fooled. My brain knew it was really only 8:00 A.M. On the plus side, I suppose it'll be okay that when I leave at 4:00, it'll really be only 3:00.
Recently released study results suggest that the number of heart attacks goes up by 5% during Daylight Saving Time. The number goes down 5% when we go back to standard time. What does that tell you? Isn't that a pretty significant indicator that there are certain things that should not be messed with?
The weekend was absolutely gorgeous here -- 83 degrees Saturday and Sunday. Alas, Spring isn't here to stay. As the week progresses, it's going to cool down. I'm not happy about that but, like most everything else, there isn't much I can do about it.
And that is all I have to say about that.
Y'all have yourselves a really Happy Monday.

Well, Serena Gump...
Blogging is, as Blogging does!
...And thats all I have to say about that!...:P
I no longer need to worry about adjusting my clocks, mechanical, digital or otherwise, but I do get up an hour earlier to remind myself that I'm still american though.
You'd appreciate it if you lived here and the sun set (somewhere behind the clouds) at 4pm without it...
I would have something else to say about that, Galen, but I'd need a box of chocolates first.:)
Not a bad idea at all, NYD. I set my alarm clock an hour earlier than I really need to get up. I don't know what it reminds me of. Something.:)
Well, there is that, VE. Dark at 4:00 o'clock just doesn't cut it. Anywhere.:)
Thar's a rumor of snow in today's forecast hyarbouts.
Hooha.
Why, why, why WHY are we still playing this DLST crap????
Snow, Skunk? Hoo-cha! You have my sympathy. I'm clueless on the DLST issue. If they want to mess around with time, they ought to mess with it one way and then LEAVE it there.:)
