Just Another Monday {Yawn}

Happy Monday, guys. How was your Valentine's Day? Who got flowers? Candy? Dinner out? A weekend getaway? If you got any, much less all, of the above, you were lucky indeed. I had a lovely weekend myself and was pretty darn sorry to see Monday arrive this morning. Of course, it's always better to wake up on Monday than to wake up a zombie or in the cemetery or something. Anyway... Effective today, my work schedule increases by a few more hours per week. Say a few Hail Marys and wish me luck. I'm not lazy, mind you, but every time my hours increase, it takes some getting used to. If I focus on the extra money I'll be making, perhaps I'll forget that I'm staying later. Perhaps. Nah. Oh, well, it'll be okay.

I'm sure a lot of stuff happened over the weekend, but I didn't see a lot of news and I don't know what it was. Except for the plane crash in Buffalo. What a horrific thing that was. Oh, and the 12-year-old boy who, with his 15-year-old girlfriend, became a dad. That's not even appropriate for Valentine's Day trivia. That's just sad and ridiculous.

When I was 12, I was only scoring candy hearts. Not even ONE "I Choo Choose You To Be The Sire To My Puglet" Valentine. Jeez.

I had fun doing nothing!!!
Sometimes the company you keep is enough to make you happy...
(did you get your shrimp?)

Don't feel bad, Pugsley. I wasn't even scoring candy hearts when I was 12.:)

I did get some shrimp, Galen. In fact, I got so much that I had leftovers and feasted on them for 2 dinners. Hey, sometimes doing nothing is better than whatever activity somebody can think up.:)

Didn't do a thing. Couldn't have cared less.

Actually I think he's 13, not that it makes that much of a difference.
I saw a picture of him with the baby and he's very young looking. I can't judge and refuse to try. They will have to do some quick growing up.

I must admit to fearing Monday the 16th much more than Friday the 13th. Add the post Black Saturday blues, and today stinks!

Oh, you know it, Roxan. Those kids are going to have to do some speed-growing up.

16 is, in my experience, a pretty good number, Kan. Nothing to be scared of. Likewise, I'm not scared of any old Friday the 13th. 14-1/2, now -- that's a number that'll put the fear on 'ya.:)

At 12, I was just starting to figure out that girls might not be the sole earthly source of cooties ;)

I got stiffed on Valentine's chocolate and I don't mean stiff in the way I usually do.

Be thankful for the extra work and save the pennies.

Children making children. I'll be damned if that doesn't epitomize bread and circuses

LOL, Skunk. Cooties were pretty big when I was 12, too.:)

I wasn't sure whether Valentine's Day was celebrated in your country, Mona. Hope you had a happy one.:)

Oh, poor NYD. No chocolate? Damn, it's a sad day in Lilliput. Believe me, I'm grateful for the extra work. Every penny counts these days.:)
