Blood-curdling -- Part 5

Haggis had no friends to turn to, for she had worked her evil spells against them all in return for what now seemed meaningless favors. Now, she could not even raise a coven.

She attempted to write, but no agent would read her pages written in blood. Even her erstwhile printer deserted her. All she could do was turn to strong, bitter wine, which she drank until her hair turned snow white and her wrinkles developed wrinkles. Her derriere collapsed in upon itself and her formerly much touted breasts sagged toward her knees. Her stomach swelled with noxious, malodorous gases as the hump on her back grew more pronounced and twisted her spine. She was a mess. But there was no pity for her anywhere in the land.

Haggis had always believed she was the smartest, most helpful, and loveliest witch in the world. Dedman needed her for his own means, so he did not dispute her claims. However, there came a time when her snakes began to whisper of rumors of another -- a good witch in a remote and distant region who far out-shined the likes of Haggis.

(Hiya, LM/TTR/JKR, how y'all hangin'? Say hey to UCW, too, won't you?)

I am really enjoying your saga. I hope there are enough parts to take us to Halloween

Haggis needs to hit the slim fast before Dedman hits the road....Of course maybe Dedman is the source of Haggis self esteem issues, so maybe its better if Haggis and Dedman split....

I would suggest weekly coven counciling, reading Steve Duecys new book 'Happy Couples', and burying two toads during a full moon.

I buried two toads last full moon. All I got was warts.

Don't worry, Rex -- this story was written by a bunch of the best. Trust me, old Haggis's self esteem issues will be worked out by the end.

And Kan, don't worry -- it's long enough that it'll last 'til the 31st.

TMI, Rex. The Beano kinda ruins the image, you know what I mean? LOL.
