Miss Begotten is one of my pet names for myself, for Southern Gothic reasons best kept to myself. Miss Begotten tries to speak plainly, but sometimes she tends to babble -- parenthetically, of course. It's never my intention to offend (and usually that's true - except on those [maybe not so] rare occasions when I mean it very friggin' much) but it sometimes happens, so if you're unusually easily offended...

"Blood-curdling..." -- Part 15
"You are right," Haggis agreed. "I do not. I sold my soul long ago."
"To whom?" Devorah inquired, though she already knew the answer.
"Whom do you think?"
"Ahhhh," Devorah acknowledged with a knowing sigh. "And for what did you sell out, or do I even need to ask?"
"A contract with my former publisher," Haggis snarled.
"Mmm-hmm. I thought as much. Then you drew the short end of the bargain, Haggis," said the Sorceress with a giggle in her voice.
*@#$%^*@#!!!" Haggis yelled.
"Temper, temper," Devorah chided.
"Bite me!" said Haggis.
