Things I Don't Get

Ÿ Why do healthy foods – organic, low cal, low carb, etc. – cost so much more than standard fare? Does the food industry really want consumers to be obese and diseased? It would make more sense to reasonably price the healthy foods and jack up the price of the unhealthy items. The industry isn't going to suffer any monetary loss. People still have to eat, no matter what. They’re always going to buy food.

Ÿ A guy gets tried and convicted of, say, hacking up half a dozen people with an axe. Afterwards, you hear news commentators say, "The gentleman says he has no memory of the events."

Gentleman? I've heard the same commentators refer to Ted Bundy and the Nightstalker as gentlemen. These guys are not gentlemen. Gentlemen don't kill people.

Ÿ Paris Hilton's celebrity status. I guess the lesson here must be that being an airhead isn't a handicap if you’re born into enough money. And now she’s earned another fifteen minutes in the spotlight by virtue of last night’s DUI. Duh.

The reason such food costs more is because the companies make money off of it. Iow, they penalize you for being health conscious, a diabetic, etc. Look at how the price of food goes up during the big holidays. Same issue.

Thanks for stopping by and bookmarking me!

I think you hit the nail on the head, Faith.

Wow, 7 years just to get the land ready? That's a long time, and an expensive proposition. There has to be a better way to get healthier food into people, at prices everyone can afford.

Paris -- BIG EW. Somebody said on the news tonight that her "popularity rank" has GONE UP because of the DUI charge. How crazy is that?!
